Very good hotel
Clean, comfortable room. Very friendly staff and a good breakfast buffet. Good location a short walk from City Centre. Bus stop outside hotel with good service to centre and train station / airport monorail. Would certainly return !

The traditional property had a good atmosphere and the staff were friendly. The system of taking a credit card number on booking and only taking the deposit a few days before the stay was nearly very problematic. My card issuer declined the transaction because I wasn't there to do the security checks. I nearly ignored the emails from the hotel about providing another card payment as spam and it was difficult as I was travelling.

Lovely staff, great location and clean rooms
We had a lovely stay at Hotel Liberty 1904. The hotel exceeded our expectations- the breakfast was great and the rooms were clean with comfortable beds. The hotel was located in a calm and quiet area, with only a walking distance to the city centre. While the hotel was very good, it was the staff who made this stay excellent with their their kindness and helpfullness.

Well Maintained Hotel near Excellent Restaurant
The hotel is located within 25m of a very good restaurant, Baklava. They serve very good Bolognese cuisine and is a must-try if you visit this city. I had a 3rd-floor room facing the courtyard, and it is void of traffic noise. I did not hear ambulance sirens (there is a hospital nearby) during my 2-night stay. The hotel could be reached by city bus* from the Bologna Train Station (Main) - there is another train station, Bologna S. Vitale, which is one station before the Main Station if coming in from Florence. *I mistakenly took an inter-city express bus which dropped me off at Bologna Rimesse stop, a 500m walk to the hotel. This was from a suggestion by a former guest at the hotel who posted his travel experience on this portal. The city bus is located in front of Baklava restaurant.

We had a fantastic experience at Hotel Liberty. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The hotel was extremely clean and they had a great selection of options for breakfast. We took the train from Rome to Bologna and the transfer was an easy bus ride to reach the hotel. The only down side of staying in this area of Bologna is that you are NOT in the city center. It took us about 15-20 minutes or so to walk over to the center and after walking miles in both Rome and Florence we were used to it. We found some very nice restaurants in the area which were away from tourist areas, which were very good. Highly recommend this hotel!

Das Hotel ist durchschnittlich gut. Sehr zuvorkommend ist das Personal am Empfang gewesen, die Zimmer jedoch sind sehr sehr klein und hellhörig bzw. bei geschlossenem Fenster ist der ganze Straßenlärm zu hören. Das Frühstück ist recht sparsam, aber für italienischer Verhältnisse ok.

Good Hotel, Close to Bologna University District
Good hotel close to the University District. Staff were friendly. They even went out of their way to set-up an ironing station to press clothes. It was greatly appreciated. Would stay here again. Only thing is I wish they could have kept the breakfast open until at least 10:30 AM.

Für Geschäftsreisende sehr gutes Hotel was Preis/Leistung betrifft. Durch die Nähe zum Zentrum und zur Messe zu empfehlen. Personal sehr freundlich und aufmerksam. Bedingt durch Corona ist das Frühstück etwas kompliziert.

Buon rapporto qualità prezzo. Ben localizzato anche se immediatamente fuori dal centro storico. Le camere che danno sul fronte strada risentono un po’ del rumore del traffico.

Si, ma i receptionist potrebbero anche sorridere!
Camera non disponibile fino alle ore 13. Però ci è stato offerto un caffè e siamo potuti stare ai tavoli della colazione. Reception abbastanza piccola. Receptionist non troppo accoglienti e abbastanza freddi. In compenso è stata molto simpatica, cordiale e solare l'addetta sudamericana alla colazione che ci ha accolto nel migliore dei modi. Un plauso per lei. Quando abbiamo chiesto dove andare a mangiare per pranzo il receptionist ci ha mandato in una trattoria non facile da trovare, famosa 50 anni prima perché ci sono stati alcuni cantautori, ma mai più rinnovata. Solo dopo abbiamo scoperto che a pochi passi dall’albergo, nella stessa via c’erano almeno altre trattorie o locali in cui poter mangiare. Il receptionist non ci ha comunicato queste alternative. Questo mi ha fatto pensare ad un “inciucio” fra il receptionist e la trattoria in cui ci ha mandato. Per io resto camera ok, pulita e funzionale, buona la colazione con dolci e torte di pasticceria.
