  • Wij (Catherine & John) verwelkomen gasten om te genieten van de schoonheid van de bergen van North Carolina vanuit onze nieuw gebouwde boerderij. Gelegen op een heuvel in het hart van het historische Valle Crucis, is het uitzicht vanaf de veranda en het bovendek geweldig. We hebben 4 slaapkamers (inclusief een kleine "kinderkamer" met twee eenpersoonsbedden) en 2 1/2 badkamers. De master suite met eigen badkamer bevindt zich op het hoogste niveau. Een moderne keuken en een open woonruimte nodigen vrienden en familie uit om comfortabel samen te komen. Wij nodigen u uit om te komen bezoeken!

    We zijn trots op ons nieuwe huis dat in augustus 2019 werd voltooid. We hopen hier veel vakanties door te brengen met onze éénjarige, Tessa, als we familie bezoeken. Voor Catherine komt ze thuis wanneer ze in Valle Crucis rijdt. Haar ouders zijn hier al bijna 45 jaar en wonen nog steeds in het huis waar ze opgroeide op de top van de heuvel. Dus dit is een speciale plek voor ons. We hopen families en groepen vrienden te ontvangen die van de bergen genieten, tijd samen waarderen en ons huis als hun eigen huis behandelen. We kijken ernaar uit om ons huis te verhuren aan volwassen en verantwoordelijke volwassenen. Dit is ons verzorgde familievakantiehuis. Als u op zoek bent naar een huis voor een groot feest, dan is dit niet de plek. Maar we verwelkomen je graag als je een mooi huis wilt op de mooiste plek die we kennen!

Beautiful house

We had a great time at this home. It felt like a home away from home. Owners are lovely people. I would recommend this house to anyone staying in the area. Beautiful views and very comfortable beds.

The house was beautiful and clean. The beds were comfy and the host was readily available if we needed anything. The location was nice with scenic views. Even though the house was isolated in Valle Crucis, Boone and most attractions were only a few minutes away. The only negative for our stay was that the water pressure in the showers wasn’t great. Aside from that, we had a great time and enjoyed the farmhouse.

Thanksgiving in the mountains

This is our second time staying here and we absolutely love the house! It such a cozy and clean farmhouse in a great location in Valle Crucis with a beautiful view. The beds are very comfortable and the outdoor space is fantastic. We had lots of fun playing in the yard and loved seeing the deer in the morning! I highly recommend this house and the owner is wonderful to work with and we look forward to staying here again.

Great family getaway

We had a wonderful time at this scenic mountain house. The house sits in a beautiful mountain setting but has great modern amenities. We were traveling with our two daughters (ages 5 and 7) and they loved the upstairs bedrooms and toys/ books on hand. We did tubing at hawks nest, skiing at Appalachian ski mountain and gem mining and the drive from the house was easy for each activity. Would highly recommend this spot for families and would stay here again!

Third time for this wonderful place

My wife and I have spent the week of our anniversary here at the farmhouse in Valle Crucis for the 3rd time in 3 years. We love it. The house is very nice and beautifully situated on a hillside over looking adjacent farms. The weather in late July is amazing. The surrounding area is so relaxing. What can I say - we've stayed here 3 years in a row.

Peaceful and Beautiful

Loved the house and relaxing, peaceful surroundings. Enjoyed watching the cows across the road and deer eating apples in the yard. Beautiful flower garden. House was very comfortable. Thank you for sharing your home with us. Hope it is available for us next year!

Relaxing Stay

Our stay at the property was wonderful. The space was very clean (believe me I notice with 4 active kids all over the floors), wonderfully hospitable with all the “extras” to make it restful... comfy beds, stocked kitchen, lush towels, working TV’s, a porch swing, adult & children’s books, ect. The location was wonderful, especially when having children— lots of outdoor grass and hills to play on… a beautiful back porch overlooking the hills and mountains. Mast General Store, Valle Crucis Community Park, and Over Yonder are all fun places right down the street. Hope to be back to stay sometime in the future.

Serenity

If you want a peaceful place to stay that is conveniently located to Boone, this is the place! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this lovely home situated on a beautiful hillside. We've always loved the house designs featured in Southern Living, and this one did not disappoint. The owners were very communicative about every aspect of our stay and made it stressfree. The covered back porch has plenty of furniture that facilitates the enjoyment of a wonderful view of a cattle farm and hillsides. We highly recommend this rental! You won't be disappointed.

Graduation Celebration

We celebrated my son’s graduation from Appalachian State University with family, and a few very close friends. An incredible setting for a special day! Everything was perfect! Communication with Catherine perfect, house beautiful, perfectly decorated, spotless, comfortable beds, well equipped kitchen, everything we hoped for and imagined. Will definitely return! Life size doll house

If you ever get a chance to stay here, do it. This place is so quaint. I felt like walking into the dollhouse from my childhood. The antiques and fun decor makes it so unique. My friends and I enjoyed our time just watching the cows graze From the back porch. It would’ve been great to have a fire feature in the back so we could stay outside longer. The kitchen was fully stocked and The Bluetooth speaker was perfect for playing out music. The beds were a bit uncomfortable but everything else made up for it.

Absolutely beautiful

I don’t have enough words to fully describe how beautiful this home is. The house is decorated beautifully and was amazingly clean! My husband and I came with our 5 kids (7 and under) and we could not have picked a better place! The house has everything you could think of and then some! My big girls loved staying in the twin room and especially loved the lights above their beds! The baby gate and pack n play were a huge bonus! I cannot even begin to describe the views from this home. We loved sitting on the porch and watching the cows each day. We are looking forward to staying here again. Catherine and John truly thought of everything and were absolutely wonderful to work with. They were quick to answer any questions I had! Definitely a gem of a home!

A Beautifully Situated Farmhouse in NC High Country

My wife and I just spent a week at Farmhouse for a 2nd year in a row and we've already booked it again for next year. Obviously, we love it. The house itself is very nice, well equipped, and very comfortable. The setting is beautiful. We sat on the back porch and watched the cows in the pasture across the way. We watch the deer graze on the hill in front of the house. We walked every morning at the Valle Crucis Park which is 1 mile away. This park is very nice - 1 mile walking path around it, playground equipment, pavilions, and it's on the banks of the Watauga River. We enjoyed the Mast General Store, Over Yonder Restaurant, zip lining at High Gravity Adventures (we're both close to 70), a wine tasting at Linville Falls Winery, Grandfather Mountain and The Local just off the App State campus in Boone. Catherine is a great host - like I said, we've already booked it for a 3rd year in a row.

This was our second stay in this home! It is an Incredible retreat in the beautiful mountains of NC! Family friendly spot with nearby park and trails! Wonderful stay at Charming Valley Crusis Farmhouse

My family and I had an amazing stay at this lovely farmhouse. The farmhouse could not be any more warm and welcoming .Beautiful and clean, this house and the property is very peaceful. It is well equipped and located in a place that is easy to get to outings. We have rented many vacation properties and this is by far my favorite!

This property is beautiful, super clean and the area has easy access to everything.

This is the 2nd time we have stayed at this property. It’s usually booked we we’re very happy to be able to book it again. The area has great access to everything you would want to do. It’s so clean, new and has everything you need to feel right at home. We loved meeting Dutch (family dog) and watching the cows and fields being harvested. (Hay). The area is safe and made for very enjoyable walks. We will definitely stay at this property again.
