'We were looking for a getaway, not too far from home. We had a very nice stay at the lake house. If you're looking for outdoor fun and family time, this is a great spot. I loved waking up in the morning with my coffee and looking out at the lake. It was great to just walk outside, grab a kayak and go! 'This is a wonderful little home with lots of charm. Reminds me of grandma's house. It is older and some floors are not even, but the bathrooms and the kitchen have been updated, new windows and heat/air system. We enjoyed the porches a lot. They have anything and everything you might need for your stay. Saw a deer and groundhog there. Grounds were beautifully kept. Would stay again. '

I did one load of laundry and noticed plumbing was duct taped together and held up by yellow electrical wire and had negative fall. 'What an amazing stay. 1790s cabin restored in the 80s. Beautiful and still had all we needed for our trip to the lake. We visited historic Bedford during the day and spent our evenings in this beautiful historic cabin. Met the owner Dave and he gave us a full tour and history. He also gave us some great suggestions for places to eat and places to get great views of the area.'
