Sea Lavender Cottage in Mid Coast Maine is klaar om van te genieten! Gelegen op enkele meters van Great Salt Bay in Newcastle. Dit onlangs "geslagen" huisje heeft creatieve architecturale accenten, uitgebreide cottage-gerichte stijl en voorzieningen, frisse meubels die zowel functioneel als grillig zijn, alle nieuwe apparaten en armaturen, een uiterlijk en een houding die uitnodigt en inspireert tot ontspannen betrokkenheid bij alle zoutwateractiviteit van de natuur in Maine's eerste beschermde mariene bron. Je deelt deze natuurlijke schoonheid met adelaars, visarend, blauwe reigers, Loons, een occasionele zeehond, prehistorische hoefijzerkrabben, oesterkwekerijen en in het voorjaar passeren meer dan een miljoen alewives het dok om te spawnen in het zoetwater van het nabijgelegen Damariscotta-meer. De allereerste gasten zeiden dat ze elke zomer naar Maine kwamen om alle unieke activiteiten van de kust van Maine en zijn dorpen te verkennen en ontdekken. Toch vonden ze Sea Lavender Cottage zo comfortabel, vol vreugde en emotioneel bevredigend, ze wilden niet elke dag vertrekken ... behalve om de kajaks te lanceren en deel te nemen aan de schoonheid van de baai. Nu is het jou beurt...

Sea Lavender Cottage werd opgericht in 2016 door de eigenaren van Beckoning Bay Cottage, die in 2009 werd geopend. Beide huisjes hebben bijna volledige seizoensbezetting gehad, meestal bij terugkerende klanten, en veel enthousiaste beoordelingen. Met deze twee huisjes op aangrenzende woningen, hebben meer mensen de mogelijkheid om te genieten van de vele charmes van Mid Coast Maine, de ontspannen omgeving van Great Salt Bay en toegang in de buurt tot US Route One.
De MBR is extra groot met een kingsize bed en een eigen badkamer. De tweede BR is minder ruim maar heeft een groot bed en een direct aangrenzend vol bad.

Relaxing family vacation in mid-Coast Maine

They say you can't go home again, but if you're a native returning to Maine (like us), you can come pretty close to it by staying at the Sea Lavender Cottage!We were four adults and an infant and there was plenty of room inside and outside. The Cottage is exceedingly clean and tastefully furnished and decorated. The views from the deck are stunning and we spent a lot of time with the provided binoculars watching the antics of the wildlife on the tidal river. We also used the kayaks to explore much the area. The Cottage is located nearby to the very charming town of Damariscotta. That region of state offers many nice attractions for coastal day trips.David is an exceptional and kind host. He made sure that our stay was as comfortable as possible. He gave us a quick tour of the property when we checked in and offered helpful tips for our visit. When we left, he was interested in any feedback regarding our stay. We hope to stay there again.

Maine Waterfront Cottage was perfect in all ways. The cottage was beautiful, no detail was left out. From the spectacular views to the spacious accommodations, it was the perfect retreat. So easy to get to town for great food and shopping. David was the perfect host, he went above and beyond, was so welcoming, and made sure we had everything we needed for our stay. We can’t wait to come back.

House is clean and comfortable with everything in working order. We lacked for nothing and enjoyed the small touches, such as the in-person welcome from David and the goodies he left for us. We spent time relaxing and taking in the beautiful view, as well as kayaking and light hiking in the area. We'd definitely recommend this property!

We loved our stay at this cottage. It had a beautiful waterfront, location, with bright big windows and a gorgeous view from everyone. The decor and comfort of the home is the best we’ve ever stayed in. There are many luxuries to enjoy and comforts everywhere you turn. The owner, David, is very accommodating and even offered us an early check-in and a late check out so we could extend our stay. He was gracious and helpful, but also respected our privacy. A nice touch was every morning when we woke up, the driveway had been freshly salted. A wonderful experience and I would highly recommend.

Amazing property, even better than the photos. Dave is a fantastic host and it was truly a wonderful stay. We had nice weather and really enjoyed going out on the deck to enjoy the sun. Also played lots of pool and the sun rise in the morning is breathtaking. We will hope to return soon!

Weekend getaway

We were two couples visiting the area for the Damariscotta Pumpkin Festival. David’s house was amazing - a beautiful view of the river, immaculately clean and well stocked with everything we needed. The weather didn’t permit us to use the kayaks or spend as much time out on the deck as we would have liked, but we enjoyed the indoor space and the pool table in the basement. David lives in the carriage house in the property and personally welcomed us and gave us a tour and showed us how everything worked. He was flexible with his usual checkout time of 10:00, which we felt was unusually early and allowed us to stay until 11:00. Our weekend stay was a real treat.

We Hated To Leave

This cottage is so charming and comfortable and the water view is delightful. Dave is the perfect host, immediately attentive to any questions or problems. We also appreciated the cheese, wine and English muffins and coffee that he left for us. We managed to try most of his restaurant recommendations and they were spot on. Damariscotta is only a mike or so away with cute shops, good restaurants and a fabulous Hannaford’s Grocery. I hope we can return soon!

Wonderful vacation

We love Sea Lavender, it has all the comforts of home from AC to a washer and dryer. The deck is a great place to relax with a glass of wine and watch the eagles, osprey and herons. The owner, David is a wonderful host, very helpful if there are any issues. Hope to return next year!

Welcoming Oasis

From the first moment Dave, the property host, personally met us and showed us around, you just knew you were in for a special stay. Dave welcomed us with a gift basket filled with goodies and a nice bottle of wine. But you could see immediately the property was the star of the show! The cottage was decorated with very relaxing colors and comfortable furniture and very whimsical pieces of art that just make you smile. Than you step outside onto the deck and see why this is an oasis of wildlife…..Bald eagles, ducks, Canadian geese, blue herons and other marine life. The view is unobstructed and what a view it is! Whether watching from the deck or trying the kayaks that are available, you won’t be disappointed. I would definitely recommend this property for all to come and relax.
