'We had fabulous 4 days in Boothbay , visiting beautiful Penaquid , Southport Island, boat cruise, morning coffee near the water, and delicious food at Waves. Fun to look in different shops too. Bed was comfortable, nice readinbathroom was clean but right in bedroom with curtain but no door. That was a negative. Driveway was very steep for climbing and awkward parking space for unloading which was a challenge for 70 yr olds. Good kitchen area and sunny living room. Rivate and semi detached. '

'As advertised, except for the "walking distance to downtown." It's over a mile, no sidewalks, very hilly bendy road, difficult for cars and the plethora of work trucks to see you. We had some elderly folks planning to stroll into town, but that was a hard no. Maybe ok if you're young and active, but certainly don't plan on safely walking home at night. Otherwise, a pleasant old place. '

'We enjoyed the view from this home and the location very much. Easy walkability to town and having Dunston’s right down the street was a fun perk. The communal spaces are small but cozy. The weather was rainy while we were there so we spent a lot of time nestled up reading and enjoying the view. My only complaint was there was no coffee provided—pretty small gripe and easily remedied!'

'I spent a rainy weekend at the ‘Chic Studio Cabin in Boothbay Harbor’ for a personal meditation retreat, and it was exactly what I needed. Even with the rain, the cabin was warm and cozy thanks to the propane fireplace. 'We enjoyed everything about our stay except there was a day of heavy rain that caused a leak in the bathroom ceiling. It got quite bad as water was leaking through the fan. We called Vacasa and were told they put through an emergency call. When no one showed up, we called back and were again told someone local would be in touch but no one called and no one came by. The ceiling didn’t fall but we decided not to use the fan in that bathroom for fear of an electrical short.'

'We absolutely loved staying at this peaceful waterfront property. The interior was spacious, very clean and our host provided everything that we could possibly need. This property has such a homey feel to it. It is a real gem and a lovely home away from home.'

'Had trouble getting in the rental, outdoor area leaves and sticks in it, several spiders and webs were found, no broom or dustpan after communicating with Vaccasa someone was supposed to drop the broom and dustpan off, that didn't happen we bought one ourselves, there were fungi growing in the shower area. I have owned vacation rentals and used vrbo to rent it, my place never looked this.'

Our only misgiving was difficulty with the entry codes and lock box although the support team remained dedicated to troubleshooting and we ultimately prevailed.
