'A delightful experience from check in to check out. The room was quite spacious and had every convenience needed from microwave to mini refrigerator to stove top and all of the kitchenware needed to make meal or heat up a snack. One will not be disappointed at any aspect of this small lodge in a nice neighborhood of Lower Hutt.'

'This small lodge is a diamond in the ruff. From check in to check out I couldn't ask for a better experience. The proprietors were very friendly and efficient on my check in and even assisted me with my luggage to my room. The room was more like an apartment and has all the conveniences of home from microwave, mini refrigerator, stove top burners and all the plates, silverware, and every kitchen gadget needed. The room was very clean, the bed was very comfortable and the room quite spacious...

'We had a lovely stay here. On family get away from Auckland to show the kids the sights of Wellington. Room was great size and had kitchen and laundry tho didn’t need it had we stayed longer it would have been amazing. Pool and spa were great for the kids. Only negative was the room had little bid of damage on the walls in areas.'

'Our room was comfortable, the accessible bathroom lovely and clean, good bed, conveniently close to everything. Firmly on the "we'll be back" list 🙂 my notes as a noise sensitive person: air conditioning hum was quite loud for some reason (compared to other places). Our mid week visit was quiet, didn't hear noise from other rooms. Note for improvement - room door responds to every other door moving on the floor by making a sound like someone is trying to come in. We wedged cardboard to stop...

'Stayed in the Superior Apartment. Two bedrooms with two ensuites is excellent. Living area was a good space. Only issue with the room was that only two butter knives were provided, but apart from that it was great. Location is right in the heart of the CBD, and hard to beat. Would stay again. '

'I really enjoyed my stay. The Bucket Tree is very iconic, with colonial style architecture, lovely park-like surroundings and that giant bucket-shaped tree in front. I arrived in the middle of a heavy rainstorm, so really appreciated the warm and cosy room. I had a separate bedroom with a very comfortable bed. Beautiful kitchenette and bathroom. Everything was lovely and clean and the service was great. I stayed for two nights and my room was cleaned each day. Would definitely stay here again....

"Helaas vonden wij het hotel tegenvallen. De kamer is ruim en fijn, maar het zat hem juist in andere dingen. Zo was de jacuzzi niet netjes/ vies, konden we om 9.45 geen ontbijtbuffet meer krijgen (terwijl het tot 10.00 ontbijt was) en was ons ontvangst kil en onvriendelijk. Ja, het hotel is trendy en fijn gelegen, maar toch waren dit afknappers voor ons."
