'Een echte engelse pub waar wij van houden. Een heerlijk oud gebouw, voorzien van alle moderne gemakken. De charme van een pub zoals wij ze niet hebben in Nederland. De kamers waren mooi ingericht, kort geleden helemaal vernieuwd. Een compleet scheve kamer met mooie lage plafonds maar het bed staat recht ;-) Goede wifi, mooi uitzicht en heerlijk eten!'

'Property was very pet friendly and staff were wonderful. There were however issues with the room which impacted our stay. The mattress was very hard and pillows soft and lumpy. Due to this our quality of sleep was very poor. The rooms did not come with a small fridge which would have been helpful as chilled food had to be taken to reception each time. There was no ironing board in the room and no telephone so each time you needed something you had to take a long walk to reception and back. Apart...

'Heythrop is nestled in the Cotswods, in and around a magnificent 18thc manor. Beautiful grounds, gorgeous building. Plenty to occupy. Lots of options to eat drink while the time away, not forgetting Spa and golf options. Staff are very helpful, rooms are comfy. '

'For a chain hotel in a rural town, this hotel provides what you expect. The room was comfortable and the hotel was in reasonable condition. Staff were friendly and the check in process is very easy. The location of the hotel was just a 10 min walk to the centre of town and local bus connections. Wifi was free, but was a bit patchy at times.'

'It is truly a unique experience in a marvellous town. The family room is at the far end of the pub, private and still you can mingle with the pub crowd if you want too. The bus to Oxford (once per hour in the weekend) stops in front of the pub, an absolute plus. There’s only room for four cars at the parking so get in there in time. If you have a dust allergy it’s better to chose something else. This is a couple of hundred years old environment; it’s prown to have dust. '

'Didn't get my cide to get into property had to call hotels.com. The stairs are very awkward with small children. Heating Didn't work correctly gor first three days. Kitchen needs more cutlery ( knife & spoon). '

'This is my first review of anything ever - product, place, airline, anything! My stay at The George deserves a review because it was so perfect. Amazing food, lovely room, slept well, great breakfast. Simply nothing negative to say! Staff are great and I will stay again if I get the chance. My only feedback would be to suggest soft close toilet seats in the rooms 😬'

'We enjoyed our stay overall, there’s a decent pub 2 mins away. Some basic items missing, garden furniture needs renovation, the upper stairs are precarious, use caution, one of our guests had a nasty fall. '
