'The White Horse was a beautiful place, very welcoming. The very clean 'chalets' were out the back of the hotel so you weren't disturbed by the road or the bar. The staff were just superb, always very helpful and courteous, nothing was ever to demanding. The breakfasts were outstanding. I fully recommend the full English! Will certainly stay there again if ever in that neck of the woods.'

'This place is a gem! There is a bus that is a block away and takes 20 minutes to Stansted Airport. The room we had was wonderful: beautiful bed linens, Turkish bath robe, lovely decor, and a beautiful, healthy, breakfast in the fridge that included a very fresh and attractive fruit platter. The little touches like the coffee machine, toaster, and excellent bread, butter, jams, fresh milk, pretty china cups and plates, made us feel we were in a real home. Martha Stewart could not have done...

'Overall the place was clean, but definitely needs some renovation. The television did nit work properly, the bathroom is outdated and the door didn’t close properly. The staff were friendly and helpful. There was also decent wifi but the choice of what to watch on the television waa quite limited with no satellite. Decent place for a short stay.'

'Just a short one night stay for our night before our flight out of Stansted. Great little find, just 30 mins from the airport but a lovely peaceful location. The host had left provisions for breakfast which was totally unexpected but made a real difference to our stay. Would recommend for for a short stay away from it all.'
