'Zeer mooi, midden in de natuur zoals je dat in Engeland verwacht, gelegen cottages. Gezellig aangekleed en van alle gemakken voorzien. Bij aankomst bloemen, taart, wijn en wat basis boodschappen. Zo word je niet overal welkom geheten. Cottage is onderdeel van Vindolanda Trust, dus je kan ook gratis naar aantal aanbevelingswaardige musea waarvan er 1 is gelegen op terrein naast het verblijf (opgraving Vindolanda). Top!'

'This cottage is located in a beautiful area with lots of hiking/ walking possibilities. kids could play nearby the river Esk or surrouding streams and forrest. The cottage also have a very nice garden with a possibility to BBQ or sit. There is nothing what we misses in this cottage, nice beds, very quiet area, really good equipped kitchen, lots of towels. 'Came up for the Kielder Marathon weekend. Cosy cottage which had everything we needed. Comfy bed, powerful hot shower and good kitchen facilities. '

'Lovely comfortable cottage with a fabulous view from the lounge balcony with afternoon and evening sun. No personal touch or welcome gift. Front yard full of weeds and plants blocking light into two snug windows. Would have been nice to use that space for a seat outside in the morning sunshine as the kitchen is perfectly placed through the front door. Locals lovely. Lots of pubs and shops. Great places to explore in the area.'

'The cottage was lovely, clean and cosy. But the cottage its self is very remote . You need to get your supplies before you get there as there is nothing in the cottage has in a welcome pack . The hot tub was only luke warm and was never checked all weekend. Which wasnt good ! I was expecting it to be hot / warm . The cottage could do with suppling a few essentials like salt , pepper , oil and more than 1 toilet roll for 2 toilets . But the cottage itself was nice, clean and well presented,...

'The cottage and location were lovely. The private parking space was too small and very awkward to access. There was plenty of unrestricted parking in the road. The property was not adequately prepared between bookings. The cleaning did not deal with the overpowering smell of curry powder that lasted till we left.'

'Very helpful to have the use of this property for what I wanted to do in the area. It was very useful to have the off-street parking space; just note that if other people park on the opposing verge, then the turning space becomes very tight.'
