Hotel common areas and room were pretty tired and basic considering the price paid. Had difficulty getting clear instructions about parking when calling the hotel. We had the same dirty crockery outside the door to our room since arrival for 3 days. Inconsistent with towels placed into room each day. Dirty carpets in room. Discarded cleaning cloths dangling from plants outside window. Very loud A/C. Mold in shower cubicle. Would all be fine if price was half what it was.

This was by far the worst experience and stay we have ever had and at the price of $400 for one night we feel robbed. So to start with the shower is so slippery (as it’s an old bathtub) that when I stepped out of the shower one leg went one way and the other leg went the other way sending me flying across a slippery floor straight into a cupboard ripping my toe nail on my big toe straight off causing extreme pain to the point I can no longer where a shoe and will have to take time off work of which has now put a financial strain on my growing family, then at some late hour we received a phone call being accused of make loud noise and partying when we were trying to rest as that was point of our stay so we got on with our stay till breakfast came along and food was horrible and we were spoken to so rudely when we came to collect. After speaking to the manager they said sorry there’s nothing we can do for you. All we want is a nice stay for a night to relax

The hotel is in a great location. We were disappointed that we did not get our room serviced at all over the three night stay. On the second night we asked at reception for more toilet paper and tissues, they never arrived. Luckily I found the storeroom and was able to help myself to these and teabags as well. The staff at the restaurant were very good.

Room was clean, spacious and great outlook overlooking Brisbane CBD. Convenient and easy walk to QPAC, Southbank, transport and dining options. Would stay there again.

Park 400 metrrs away at the convention center. It was clean, quiet. Staff helpful on check in. Definitely would stay again. It has a gym, pool and hot tub too but did not use.

On entering the apartment at the Mantra on Southbank we were greeted with a non-functioning microwave, a dryer whose cover fell off, a tap handle which fell off and some previous clothing in the dryer from a previous guest. We even found a pair of socks under the bedroom blinds at the end of our stay. When we discussed these issues with the staff Kent was extremely helpful and supportive, immediately offering a new room in the floor below. He was excellent and one of the high points of our stay apart from where the apartment was located. We felt that the rooms could have been looked after much better in terms of their cleanliness, while maintenance was excellent and very helpful when required. We will be seriously considering where we stay when next in Brisbane.

The property was excellent and the staff friendly. Unbeatable location. However, when we arrived late at night to sleep, the sheets and pillowcases on our bed were stained and dirty. We called down and someone came but instead of making the bed, they handed us the sheets, one pillowcase short and expected us to make the bed. She realised this was not ok and then made it herself the best she could, but it was unexpected and disappointing to find dirty sheets at this calibre hotel

Got a room upgrade which was great. Unfortunately the bedroom had very weak aircon, however, the staff were great and did their best to resolve the matter. The bedroom was right next to the trainline, however, the windows are soundproof so couldnt hear anything. Great location. Good facilities.

The bath tub area had a significant amount of mould. We asked for the mould to be cleaned, which improved it a very small amount. It was too disgusting to bathe or shower in, so we had to purchase bathroom cleaner and clean it ourselves. The kitchen cupboards stunk of damp/mould so we didn’t use any kitchen utensils. The room needed a deep clean, it was only clean on the surface, look any closer and it was disgusting. Dust piles under the bed. bedroom wardrobe dirty. Balcony was really dirty so didn’t want to sit out there. Good convenient location though. Would not recommend and would never stay again. Needs a big upgrade - old microwave, no smart TV, noisy dryer

Because i was going to a show at the lyric theatre the mantra is in easy walking distance of train station and qpac where the lyric theatre is located. Room was fine bed was fine also close to sothbank parklands and Brisbane convention centre and museum and goma for anyone interested. Can't comment on food or parking as only went for accommodation purposes.

Footpath fronting property and entry needs attention daily. Very dirty. Our shower needed to be cleaned of mould. Patio to rear of Room 420 was a real shock 😳. Absolutely filthy, no attention or cleaning for YEARS! Not usable! Crushed and stiff curtain needs replacing. Room clean. Staff at desk very friendly and efficient.

Windows in room were too dirty to see out ! Room was poorly equipped; looked old and tired. No wine glasses; 2 unmatched glasses and 2 coffee mugs. No cutlery; only 2 teaspoons NO Complimentary on-site parking. Only 2 short-term parkings at entrance in a busy street. No offers of things to see or do. Overpriced. Will definitely not return.
