'This family owned hotel is in the heart of Cauterets. The hotel is older and is evident when you walk the stairs and hallways where you can feel the slant in the floors. The room was very large and clean, with older french style furniture and curtains. The bathroom is very modern and had a large soaking tub. Like many French bathrooms, the toilet was in a separate “closet” outside the main bathroom, and although this is a bit odd at least this one had a hand sink inside. The breakfast was...

'Stunning setting- absolutely gorgeous hotel. BUT- No air conditioning and our room on the 4th floor was very hot. Restaurant is beautiful but dining experience very disappointing- mediocre, overpriced food and terrible service. Dinner a few miles down the road at the campground was better and 1/2 the price. Would stay again, in cooler weather because of the beautiful surroundings but skip eating here.'

'First pic on expedia is decptive, showing the 5 start luxurious trainstation hotel some 5km further away. 2nd picture shows some beach, which makes no sense high in the mountains. The ppartment needs maintenance, shower handle was broken and the doorknob fell off when we touched it. Located in a one atreet village with one bar. Further surrounding have more to offer, many hiking possibilities and a nice cave to visit one village deeper into Spain. so nice environment but we are now in one...
