'This is listed as a four-star hotel on Google, but that is not the case. It is definitely 2 1/2 as listed on Expedia. They did not have reliable Wi-Fi or any of the basic channels to watch sports. Based on other reviews it had recently changed ownership. They need to up their game or the poor reviews will start pouring in.'

'The hotel was nice. Location was good - you can walk into the old town of Grass Valley easily. Breakfast was very good and the dining room nice. There was a manager's hosted happy hour which was a nice touch. The bathrooms do need updating but everything worked fine. Housekeeping staff was very nice.'

'Room was very clean and staff were helpful. breakfast was minimal at best. It took 15 - 20 pumps on the coffee bottle to get a reasonably full cup of coffee. Dispensers for soap and skin cream aren't checked so they run out. Everything else worked well - hot water, shower, A/C, etc. If you need a place to shower and sleep, this place fills the bill nicely. If you need something more, it comes up short.'

However, security-wise, even hours after I had checked in and then left for an event, the door to the adjoining room was left open, the windows were all left unlocked, felt unsafe for someone on the bottom floor, woman traveling alone. I wouldn't let my daughter stay here. Front staff are NOT friendly, citing strange policies, like we don't check you out when you walk in with your keys. 'The host was very accommodating. The property sets close to Rough & Ready hwy- especially cottage #10, which backs up within feet of the hwy. Bring an extra blanket if weather is on the cool side. '

'Staff friendly, helpful. Came right up when TV remote wasn't working. Room clean, quiet. We did not eat breakfast but it looked appetizing. There is a Taco Truck right across the street that had excellent food (Street tacos, quesadilla and sopes)at reasonable prices.'
