We had such a nice time. Garry was very thoughtful with everything. He came by to check on us, share interesting things to do and daily built us a fire at night. The house had everything we needed. We were two moms with our sons who are friends and felt well taken care of. We will go back.

A perfect bush getaway, yet close enough to great places which you can explore such as the Hunter wineries. This was the best find for us and we will definitely be coming back. The whole vibe of the house and its location was perfect. The owners were very quick to respond to any queries and extremely nice people. We were six adults and we all loved it!

Tranquil Escape in the Bush

We had a wonderful stay at the bush cabin! The peaceful surroundings and beautiful natural setting made it the perfect spot to unwind. The cabin was cozy, clean, and had everything needed for a comfortable stay. We especially loved waking up to the sounds of wildlife in the morning. Garry & Jan, are wonderful hosts. The house is stunning with everything we needed. We all enjoyed relaxing around the indoor fireplace. In the evenings we especially liked toasting marshmallows around the outdoor fireplace. The location is great and easy to get to from M1 motorway. It is also an easy drive to lots of great local vineyards and the Hunter Valley gardens. We even visited Toronto on the lake for lunch. Thank you for a lovely time away.

I actually don’t think the listing does justice to how beautiful this little retreat is! It has all the best parts of being out in nature but with all your creature comforts like a cosy fireplace, comfy beds, and a full kitchen. Thank you Jan and Garry! We can’t wait to come back :)

Easter Weekend Stay

It was wonderful to return again. We enjoyed our stay very much. This time we were able to put the Bomfire to use and roast marshmallows. The kids enjoy the bike trails and bushland ventures. It’s beautiful and quiet with everything you need to enjoy a peaceful stay.

Peaceful bush location

I needed a ‘time out’ and this place was absolutely perfect. Private and peaceful, surrounded by stunning bushland, birds and wildlife. Walking trails have been thoughtfully created around the property, where you can stroll for hours. The accommodation itself is spacious and has everything you’ll need. Plenty of room inside, with a big enclosed deck upstairs, and front and rear verandas. I will definitely be back to this little gem!

Extremely Disappointing Stay – Urgent Feedback

We stayed there on December 28th. Although the road to the property was unpaved, the hosts were kind. However, from the very first day, we noticed several mice in the house. As a result, we had to keep all our dishes and luggage sealed, which made us feel uncomfortable. Despite our efforts, we couldn’t get rid of the mice because the house was full of inaccessible holes, allowing the mice to move around freely.On the second night, at around 4 a.m., while we were asleep, a mouse got into our bed, causing immense fear and panic. We were left with no choice but to pack up immediately and return home. This experience has left my wife and daughter with a fear of mice, and we will likely need to consult a psychologist for them.I can never recommend this place. Our money and holiday time were completely wasted in the worst possible way. I am deeply disappointed.
