Very cute and comfy. The staff was sweet and helpful. The front entry is marked with a small sign that's easy to miss on first glance and there are lots of stairs to climb.

I love this hostel. I ended up having the room by myself. I like the way how they designed the hostel. The receptionist that helped me check in is Anita. Very nice lady Close to everything.

Lavender Circus loveliest hostel
Fabulous Hostel in a great location. The decor is very unique and the staff were all so friendly and helpful. Being an older couple newish to hostels, it's always a little worrying what you arrive to..... But Lavender Circus 🎪❤️ you were fantastic in every way. Absolutely adored our stay here. Thank you!

Ausschreibung stimmt nicht mit Realität überein
Die Adresse in der Ausschreibung/Buchungsbestätigung stimmt nicht mit der eigentlichen Adresse überein. Die Apartments sind NICHT im Hostel. Uns wurde die richtige Adresse in einer Checkin-Info Email um 18:27 Uhr am Anreisetag übermittelt. Um 23:00 Uhr standen wir dann vor verschlossenen Hosteltüren… Die Apartments habeb auch keine Rezeption, Gemeinschaftsräume etc. Das hat den Start der Reise natürlich getrübt. Das Apartment an sich ist gut ausgestattet, viele Staumöglichkeiten. Kleinere Details, wie kein Duschvorhang, defekte Waschmaschine, nicht ausreichendes Wlan für HomeOffice, nicht ausreichend Toilettenpapier, dreckige Utensilien in der Küche - sind egtl einfach zu beheben. Alles nicht dramatisch, aber die Ausschreibung sollte einfach zu 100% stimmen, damit man weiß, was einen erwartet.

This hotel is decorated in such a fun and interesting way. The room was very comfortable and spacious. The only downside is there is no lift, and quite a lot of stairs.

Great location, easy check in
This is a nice no frills hostel, the desk people are nice and friendly. The decor is cool. Others have noted that it’s a third floor walk up and the walk up isn’t lit, I didn’t think that was too bad at all, you have some light from the street so it’s not pitch dark by any means. Good location and close to all transportation. Not shabby by any means but definitely no frills, I would say if it’s a deal for you at the time of booking then do it. Only thing is that the private rooms don’t have an option for a private bathroom, only the larger apartments have that option.

There were natural gas smell in the room, and I asked the reception and they said it is normal!!! There were no elevator or any help to take the luggage's three stores which was 5 floor tall comparing to normal building) If there were slippers it would be great. The people were welcoming, the kitchen staff were available, such dishes coffees and ... location was great to access city center with some walks.

Vi havde nogle skønne dage i centrum af Budapest. Værelset var stort, rent og fantasifuldt indrettet. Der var alle nødvendige faciliteter til et dejligt ophold og personalet var nemt at komme i kontakt med via hotels.com Eneste ting der kunne trække lidt ned var madrasserne, som var tynde og slidte. Kommer helt sikkert igen 🙌🙌

Ups and downs
Location is great. Personnel are all very friendly. Yet cleanliness of the rooms were a bit underwhelming and we suffered a lot due to the lack of an air-conditioner. So if you are your early 20s the place is good, but not for an early 30s couple.

Great flat/room for Budapest on a budget
Great central location just off Octogon and close to West-end shopping center. Quiet backstreet on 2nd floor. Loved the very special and quirky design of my room with a sleeping loft, plenty of space and my own kitchen area. Perfect for a few nights, food stores, cafes and public transport just around the corner. Clean room and quick check in.

Bon séjour! La chambre était très spacieuse et l’emplacement est idéal! Le lit était très confo. Pour les moins: la douche mériterait un nouveau pommeau (l’eau fuyait d’un peu partout…), et malgré une arrivé à 17h, nous avons dû attendre 30min la préparation de la chambre. Nous y retournerions tout de même!

Non è dove è segnato sulla cartina, chiamare prima
L'appartamento è molto più semplice (e meno kitch) di quanto in foto. Però è molto accogliente. Il bagnetto piccolo ma c'è tutto quello che ci si aspetta (no, il bidet no, ma non siamo in Italia). È pulito e ordinato. Il letto è formato da un materasso a molle in terra sul soppalco sopra il bagnetto. Le scale non sono comodissime, soprattutto di notte, e non molto protette (quindi non è adatto se avete bambini). La cucina è piccola ma abbastanza fornita (non abbiamo neanche pensato di usarla, in realtà, visto che nell'arco di 15 minuti a piedi ci sono centinaia di ristoranti per tutti i gusti e per tutte le tasche). Nella descrizione mancano due cose fondamentali: 1. NON È DOVE DICE HOTEL.COM ma in Lovag u. 22. Nulla di drammatico se non avete prenotato un MiniBud e dovete cambiare il luogo di pickup. È comunque comodo, a due passi da Oktogon e dalle fermate della M3. 2. BISOGNA CONCORDARE IL CHECKIN. Cosa detta in una delle mail, da me completamente ignorata (mea culpa). La disponibilità della struttura è stata comunque più che ampia, e abbiamo concordato il checkin dopo un paio d'ore (con una abbondante colazione in mezzo).

Très bon rapport qualité prix
Appartement très bien situé pour visiter Budapest et accéder aux transports en commun. Dori nous a bien accueilli et était à l'écoute de nos questions. Décor atypique et original. Appartement très propre. Il ne manquait plus que la climatisation pour être plus que parfait.

Situación estupenda. Check in agradable pero algo lento al tener que explicarte cómo funcionan todas las llaves que necesitas para entrar en el apartamento. Ambiente de hostel relajado con community room en el piso de arriba (quinto piso). La decoración del hostel y del apartamento es muy llamativa y original. La habitación grande y cómoda, el baño deficiente. Una separación con cortinas en el medio del baño nada útil y ducha sin presión. A penas utilizamos la cocina pero en general no le vendría mal una limpieza a fondo al apartamento. Aún así, la estancia fue positiva y la situación del hostel estupenda y el precio muy bueno teniendo esto en cuenta. Te dan una lista con recomendaciones al llegar lo cual facilita también la búsqueda de sitios donde desayunar.

Bien, con cosas a mejorar.
En líneas generales muy bien. Los encargados muy amables, en todo momento predispuestos y detallistas. Me alojé en el apartamento exclusivo, y, sinceramente, esperaba más de él. No me pareció para nada exclusivo. Es original y bohemio, pero no del todo práctico. Las escaleras en ambos (hostal y apartamentos) no ayudan tampoco, sobre todo si vas cargado. Eso sí, tiene un tamaño adecuado, tiene lo básico y puede que suficiente. Y está bien ubicado. Muy cerca del Parlamento, por ejemplo. En su contra: la zona es bastante ruidosa de noche y no del todo vistosa. Los edificios son oscuros y lúgubres. No nos ha pasado nada en absoluto, pero no me pareció de las más seguras de Budapest. A mejorar también la ubicación de algunos enchufes, colocado en lugares inverosímiles y poco útiles. Por ejemplo en el techo del altillo. Altillo que quedar queda bien, pero no es nada práctico ni cómodo. Y, para ser apartamento, hemos echado en falta un fuego, algo para limpiar la ropa y accesorios varios que sí que suele haber en los apartamentos. En resumen, la estancia bien, pero no sé si repetiría...

Jättetrevlig lägenhet! Rymlig och ren. Hjälpsam personal vid incheckning. Lägenheten ligger två trappor upp men trapporna som vissa beklagar sig över är inget problem om du är vid normal hälsa. Nära till buss och spårvagn.

appartement au 2éme étage. très mignon et équipé correctement dans un quartier bien situé. petite odeur d'humidité mais rien de méchant. Bon à savoir: si vous payez sur place , à l'auberge Lavender Circus ( très jolie) c'est en cash!
