Horrific Stay
When I booked this property it was supposed to be a 5 bed/2ba house with a pool and hot tub. 2 weeks before our stay I received a voicemail from VRBO informing me that the host had changed the details of the house - it was now a 3 bed/1 ba house. I contacted the host and he said VRBO made a mistake and that it was only 3 bedrooms. After multiple calls with VRBO (and ultimately talking to a supervisor), the host called me to say that he can give me 5 bedrooms (both units of a duplex house).
When we checked in the house had not been cleaned (though the beds appeared to have clean linens and had been made). Hair was all over the bathrooms, a dirty glass was sitting on a night stand, sinks and bathtubs were not cleaned and the floors had not been cleaned. The pool was green and the hot tub was not operational. Additionally, only 2 clean towels (1 in each unit) were there. 9 people were staying in this 5 bedroom house, so 2 towels were not enough. I called the host to tell him there were not enough towels and tell him that the house was not clean. He said that he would bring more towels in the morning and would clean the house then. I found a pile of dirty towels and sheets in the basement laundry room and did a load of laundry so we had towels for the evening. He did not arrive with more towels until closer to noon the next day and he did not clean the house. The host showed up at the property and called me every day for various reasons.
