Osborn Retreat - Cosy Cottage & Magical Garden

Tucked away in the heart of the Southern Highlands, Osborn Cottage is a cosy, character-filled escape designed for slow mornings and restful nights. Surrounded by a beautiful garden visited by native animals and birds, it feels wonderfully peaceful and private. Enjoy a fully equipped kitchen with herb garden, a snug living room, dreamy beds and an indoor fireplace for chilly evenings. Bushwalks, fresh air and calm await just beyond the gate. Enter Osborn Cottage through the front garden and onto the verandah, a lovely spot to sit with a morning coffee while birds flit past and native bees hum among the flowers. From the moment you step inside, the cottage feels warm, calm and welcoming. The living room is cosy and inviting, perfect for slow evenings with a movie on the smart TV. To the right, a spacious bedroom with beautiful natural light and a queen bed offers a peaceful place to rest. To the left, you’ll find a second bedroom with its own ensuite bathroom and shower, ideal for couples or friends travelling together. We also have a cot if you are travelling with toddlers, please bring your own sheets and covers for the travel cot. At the rear of the cottage, with views into the garden, is our fully equipped kitchen and dining area. The kitchen is set up for true home cooking, with high-end Our Place cookware, a KitchenAid with pasta attachments and everything you could possibly need to create long, relaxed meals. There is also a second bathroom with a bathtub overlooking the garden, perfect for a quiet soak. Step outside to the back verandah and enjoy the BBQ and pizza stone, or simply take in the garden and fresh Highlands air. In winter, light the indoor fireplace in the dining area and settle in for a cosy evening. From the cottage, we’ve spotted kangaroos, wombats and countless birds, making it feel wonderfully connected to nature. We’re also happy to help organise local experiences, including horsemanship lessons and liberty work with rescue ponies nearby. Bundanoon itself is full of charm, with lovely local shops and a supermarket within walking distance. We love grabbing a coffee from the team at Delilicious. Bowral, Moss Vale and Exeter are all just a short drive away, as is Country Accents in Bowral, where many of the cottage’s beautiful decorations come from. Osborn Cottage is dog friendly, and we happily welcome your four-legged companions, kindly asking that they stay off the furniture. It’s a place to slow down, feel at home and truly unwind.
