'Spacious, comfortable and attractive accommodation. Location was quiet and accessible to shopping, the Metro and other activities. Highly recommended!'

'The property is exactly as described, which is to say perfect for my short trip. The queen bed is terrific, the sheets and blankets are excellent, there are plenty of towels, and the tea selection is out of this world.Top stay for me!Thanks, Sue.'

'This small house was perfect for a 2-night stay for our family of four. It was clean, beds were comfortable, and it was equipped well enough to accommodate us.'

'Overall this home was exactly like advertised. If you are looking for a home at a reasonable price that will accommodate a large group with places to sleep and plenty of bathrooms, this is the place. The host was very easy to communicate with and responded quickly. Extremely convenient to DC. The only thing we noticed is the home is showing signs of wear from hosting larger groups and good use a bit of a refresh.'

'The location was the only good thing about this place. There’s plastic on the couches that sit very low to the floor and are difficult to get up from. This is like a college rental. The minute I walked in we could hear everything the upstairs neighbors were saying and doing, not even during a party, just walking and talking. My elderly father was with me who has a heart issue and needs sleep so I immediately messaged the property owner asking for a refund since we could not possibly stay there....

'Our family had the best time in Alexandria and DC proper with The George as our homebase. Beds were very comfortable, living space and linens were all fresh and clean. The property is very close to a Safeway grocery store and with all the amenities The George offered we could easily prepare meals. The creative decor in shades of blue and coral, and special attention to detail all around the home, namely the hand painted mural in the living room, treated us all to an exceptional patriotic, DC...

'Overall, the stay was good. We didn’t know the basement also being rented out until we dug into the fine print. We only learned there were other guests in the basement from hearing their activity, then their smoke alarm going off from a cooking incident. The keyed locks on either side of the door gave us some peace of mind for privacy & safety, but it wasn’t ideal and felt a little awkward. Previous guests left vaping paraphernalia and tape covering smoke detectors. Some were not reachable, and...

'The kitchen area, dining room and living room are updated. The upstairs rooms and bathrooms are not. It is an old building and you can see that you are renovating the rooms one at a time.'

'I had some last minute travel and was so lucky that I came across this great place! The great communication made everything a breeze, which took a lot of stress away from having to plan last minute. The house is clean and comfortable (cozy) with very thoughtful amenities. It is situated in a very quiet area. I got a really good, peaceful vibe in the house. Couldn’t ask for more from my experience staying.'
