Being central within the National Park means that a whole host of attractions are within easy reach including the afore mentioned Buxton and Bakewell which can be reached in a mere 10–15 minute drive. Matlock and Ashbourne are around a 20–25 minute drive and Edale, Castleton and the Hope Valley around half an hour away. Pub within 1 mile.
