'I would say this is a hidden gem. An elegant hotel in the heart of Caldas de Reis, so very convenient if you are making the Camino. It is way above others in this route. Nicely appointed rooms. It was nice to see some other pilgrims from El Camino staying here as well. Breakfast was nice too. Checking in took a little longer than expected, but service was courteous and informative. 'Bandeira är ok och rent, men för litet. Baren intill är dock ganska god sportsbar. Man kunde komponera sin eget salat. Silleda är lite större som är center till kommunen. Santiago är en dagsresa i den andra retningen (30 km). '

'Wat vroeger een prachtig hotel, met warm bronnen was, is na een renovatie met plastic kozijnen slechts een lege huls. Bussen met bejaarden vullen nu de eetzaal en de prachtige hal. Voor een normale tourist of pelgrim is het prima vanwege het prachtige 30 graden zwembad, maar vermijd het eten en ga naar de overkant van de brug waar een prima restaurant met vriendelijk personeel is. De kamers zonder airco lijken me in de zomer niet prettig. '
