'Room was nice and clean cant really fault it, bed was comfortable, milk left in the fridge for a brew but unfortunately it had gone off, apart from that i have no complaints.'

'We went for 2 nights stay in May. Check in and communication was very good. The property was clean. It looked like renovation work took place recently. It was a pleasant stay. Only downside is that there are no good places to eat. We arrived about 8:30 pm and all the nearby places were closed for customers. This is no reflection on the property as it was as advertised.'

'The property was in a fab location with all the local amenities within a 30 second walk. It's right by the harbour too so only a short walk down for lovely views. The property itself was easy to access with very clear instructions. We really enjoyed our stay and it felt like home from home. Would definitely recommend and would definitely stay again. First proper trip to Tenby and hoping to come back again sometime!'

'Very comfortable property in a secluded location which was central to exploring all of the Pembrokeshire Coastal Path which was breathtaking. It was advertised as sleeping 8 but would only be comfortable for 6 max as living space is small. Garden is not child friendly or completely enclosed for dogs although no problem for ours who are well trained. WiFi is non-existent which has its plus sides but no landline in case of emergencies.'

'6 adults and 4 children for a surprise 50th family weekend. Beautiful surroundings. Easy to reach destinations. Perfect size for all of us and layout, however could do with a little TLC, cleanliness was not great. Did not let it ruin our stay as it was perfect otherwise.'

'We had a lovely week at Rooks Retreat - even got used to the rasping rooks! Wasn’t as close to Freshwater East as we hoped. It is possible to walk (up the lane from the cottage) towards Freshwater Inn, but there are some very steep steps to negotiate down onto the beach, takes about 45 minutes. 'The cottage was just as advertised and had absolutely everything we needed. Jon had provided tea, coffee and gluten free cookies and lactose free milk specifically for my diet, so thoughtful. The cottage is small but was the right size for us and the bed was very comfortable as was having a luxurious bath in the evening.
