'Burkey's place is beautiful, well stocked and relaxing! We went with two young kids, and we enjoyed the ability to wash our clothes and make dinner, while still being in a unique Jungle setting. Would definitely recommend, especially to a couple or two couples traveling together. '

'If you enjoy the outdoors, you will LOVE this cottage!! We wanted to experience Dominica and all its beauty and this property provided us more than we could have ever imagined. We woke up each morning to stunning views of the mountains and had coffee in the outdoor kitchen/living area. The location was also ideal to the local attractions and the city of Roseau. 'Stayed here for 4 nights, the cabin is very interesting. It is in the lovely garden of the owners, a little bit outside of the main street in Calibishie, so better to have a car. The kitchen is great, bathroom also, however there is no airconditioning. The view is awesome from the hammock and terrace. The owners are very nice and friendly. Thanks!'

'Stayed at Kootney Resort for the purpose of quarantine. Stayed in a two bedroom apartment. Apartment was very spacious, each bedroom had AC, lots of fruit trees on property plus a river near by. Overall very pleasant stay.'

'The new owners were really friendly and full of local knowledge. So was Pascal the taxi driver they arranged to pick us up. But we were also given lots of privacy. The view is amazing from the studio cottage. It was well appointed and comfortable, had good wifi. It could use a memory foam for the bed though. The grounds were clean and the whole Calibishie area is safe. Dominicans are soooo friendly! '

'Well maintained home with plenty of space. Sunrise and moonrises were spectacular. Decent grocery shopping in Calibishie but the best store we found was Savers Enterprise in Portsmouth. Safety & privacy were excellent. The house is sited in a way that no one can see and there is no other property "looking down" on you. Gweneth (mgr) told us the do's on dont's for safety at check in and Chris (owner) was very responsive to all inquiries.'
