'We did have a wonderful relaxing stay on the Guadalupe river. I was just surprised when I found that the reservation does not include the small cabin that is shown in the pictures on VRBO. 'Great place to getaway and relax. It was quiet, of the main road and the property and cabin were well maintained. Water level in the lake was good, and it was fun to watch the night come to life under the stars. We saw plenty of deer and even an armadillo came strolling by the porch on its way down to the lake to get some water. Good spot and would go back. '

'Talk about being in the middle of no where, Ricks cabin is that. The cabin is situated 6 miles out of Comfort situated in the hills about 1800 feet above sea level. Getting to the cabin can be challenging but follow Ricks directions to the tee and you will be ok. On the way out we made a mistake and followed GPS directions, took a wrong turn and ended up driving down a really rough unpaved road leading to a really spooky looking cabin. The previous rave reviews are spot on with their commentary...

'House was fantastic! It was well stocked with appliances and utensils and everything was high end including bedding. We loved it! Decks and outside seating were extremely comfortable. The main living area was on first floor. Master and 2 other bedrooms were only 5 steps up from the main floor and the 4th bedroom was up from there, but it had a private deck. Highly recommend!'
