'Not impressed'

'Wildwood Resort is an excellent place offering peace and quiet just don't go there in their offseason. A major drawback is the resort does not have any backup power such as a generator for IF the power goes out. During my stay there was a cold, windy,, rainy storm and the electricity went out and was out all night it was very cold in the 30's outside and it got very cold in my unit. I went to the office and a note was on the door saying that the staff had left early. There was no one available...

'The Retreat Center offered a fabulous opportunity for a midpoint stop. The location and property were stunning. The drive into the property offered great promise of a comfortable stay. The after hours check in was simple and the access to the room was right off the main driveway. Parking was easily accessible and close to the unit. The room itself was large, very clean, with a mini kitchen should it be necessary, and a single serve coffee pot was available. The bathroom was very clean, great...

'There were 4 drunken man from Costa Rica in the swimming pool with beer bottles until midnight. The Hotel management did not care. If you want to swim in a decent pool, don't go to this Hotel. The floor carpet in the Hotel is from the flower-power period and it is very dirty. It is a pity so see how this Hotel de-classifies itself, because there are very nice restaurants on walking distance.'

'Good location for where we were going. Close to a few restaurants. The staff was less than friendly. Staff was very rude. The room had a sewer gas leak and stunk just enough to be annoying. We only stayed one nite. And with the staff being rude, u didnt want to call and ask for another room. I was too tired. Do not recommend. '

'Property looked nothing like the picture on expedia. It wax messy and I had to knock on a room door to check in. It took her a while to answer me. The room had one washcloth snd one bath nat. I had to go search to find someone for towels. Not impressed. Will not be staying here again. Expedia needs to check out these properties before including them on their site.'

'Had to ask for a shower curtain, the TV did not work and they couldn't fix it, the bathroom floor was wet in the morning, there was no soap in the soap dispenser, the bathroom door had initials carved in it, but other than that it was great.'

'This is a nicely designed and maintained hotel. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The staff are very friendly. My only complaint is there is a good amount of noise from cars as the hotel is situated on the main road through the town. Also, if you’re driving a car and need to turn left onto the main road, it can be tricky due to the traffic traveling on the road in both directions and there’s no side exit from the parking lot onto a street with a stoplight or stop sign. 'Breakfast was freash and nice staff'

'Room were clean and spacious. Staff was friendly. Good breakfast and plenty of parking. They now have a couple of restaurants right next door. Loved the stay!'

'Pool has not been operational for 6 months. They did not offer anything to compensate for that. Room was clean, beds comfortable'

'Upon arrival I waited a very long time for someone to come to the desk and assist me.. the property inside and out was clean and well maintained. Room was clean and comfy, however water pressure took 30 min to rinse my shoulder length hair and the rips in the shower curtain allowed water to escape the shower and soak the bathroom. Tub was also very slippery. Breakfast bar was stocked and fresh. Overall id stay again.'

'It's a functional hotel. The staff is helpful. The room we were put in had some issues (fridge was totally dead, A/C didn't work very well, light in the bathroom flickered). They offered to move us to a new room but we didn't realize the AC couldn't keep up until overnight so we declined to change rooms for the fridge issue. So it's a case of "there may be some issues but the staff is very helpful in trying to fix things for you." I was given a couple of discount cards but they have to be used...
