'Was in town to go to the Tank Museum. Lovely property that was a 5 minute drive to the museum. There was an attached restaurant that was very reasonably priced and a nice continental breakfast that came with the room rate. The rooms were clean and functional. The doors were charming and opened with an old school key. For better or worse, the doors were also older wooden doors and not terribly good at keeping the outside noise out. '
'The Knoll House Hotel has a lot of character and some charming communal rooms (a bar, lounge and games room). From the front loan you have an amazing view of the sea. There are also other facilities, such as the outdoor swimming pool that is a plus, especially on a warm, sunny day. 'Loads of parking. We had a Ground floor room which was very large and quiet. We booked last minute over the August bank holiday so it wasn’t cheap and the pub doesn’t serve breakfast. Manager is really helpful and nice pub. Very near the New Forest for walks. Would only suggest for the price would have expected some additional toiletries '

'Such a lovely hotel , amazing view of the river , was given a upgrade wow it was a 2 bedroom apartment floor to ceiling window in lounge to relax and watch the boats sail by what more could we ask for . The food was all delicious, we had breakfast , lunch and dinner , staff were all very friendly . The hydropool in spa was relaxing everywhere was clean . There were a couple of niggles in the room , the bed was making creaking noises every movement which was a bit annoying so maybe the bedstead...

'So glad to have discovered this place- off the main roads. The whole experience was great- staff were lovely, dogs were made welcome too! Like stepping into an Agatha Christie movie, beautiful furnishings of an era in history. The grounds were well maintained and we loved the Monet Garden - with deer resting near the pond, all very magical.
