We stayed here becuse it’s difficult to find pet friendly accommodations in Canmore. I had read the reviews so was aware there could be issues but was willing to try it out since we needed to bring our dog. The check-in process is confusing, and there is no parking at the unit once you do find it. It’s outdoor parking in another lot, which is not amazing when it’s -30 and very icy. The whole building is dingy and smells heavily of cigarette smoke. There were blood droplets on the carpet in the hallway and on our patio when we checked in along with some other weird droplets. The unit was worn out the towels rough and stained. The bed was really lumpy and uncomfortable and the sheets were also very rough. The heat was off in our unit but it was so hot in there we had to open the windows in -30 and we were still to hot. It was also really loud with a variety of ongoing sounds all night. We did not sleep. We booked for two nights but decided to leave after one. Always disappointing when you pay so much for a weekend away. I let them know we checked out early and provided some feedback, things I already had noticed were said many times in these reviews. They said we should have let them know however I’m not sure what they could have done about any of this really. They offered us zero discount or refund which is not a surprise. We had of course also paid the extra pet fees for both nights and a $40 dollar early checkin fee to be able to check in before 5pm.

We appreciate your feedback but are very surprised to hear about some of your issues during your stay with us. We offer this pet friendly property for that exact reason as there is a lack of this type of accommodation in town. Because it is pet friendly it is not party of the other properties it is a separate building. There is indoor parking at the adjacent property but most guests prefer to park outside in future just ask our front desk team and they can show you on our map. This building is smoke free so if you ever encounter any smoke please let us know immediately so we can source this out. Unfortunately, in come cases people smoking outside can bring it in with them. Same goes for any unit deficiencies as we would like to help you out while you are here as there is not much we can do after your vacation is already over. The condo itself is beautiful. The rooms and kitchen are spacious. The view of Rundle, Cascade, Lady Mac etc are incredible. I was not aware that this building is one of many properties owned by the management company. It was a gong show checking in. The check in location is not at this building. It is on Sidney street. You have to drive in circles trying to find parking that is not immediately at the building. The expectation is that you park in a loading zone to drop off your stuff and then move your vehicle to ground level parking but finding out where you can park is a communication nightmare that involves calling back and forth to the front desk. We have a pickup truck which wouldn’t fit in a single parking spot available. The pool is actually in a different building which wouldnt be a big deal in warm weather but during the winter with a baby is a stressful hassle. I wish I had investigated this prior to booking as I would have booked a different hotel. There are also some funny rules that made me laugh. Cooking food with an odour is subject to a fine.

From hotel rooms to 3 bedroom units in various properties in the area including this valued pet friendly option. If you don't require pet friendly but value the pool being in your building we would suggest booking into Paradise Resort Club. We do have underground parking but for larger vehicles there is also parking outside. As per the food odours on occasion some very strong odorous foods were cooked that would inconvenience our next guest. We simply want to be fair to everyone. The parking lots were extremely slippery. This was concerning for our elderly family travelling with us. Staff were a little aggressive when a payment discrepancy occurred. Tried to eat breakfast in the morning but no staff showed up to open the restaurant at their scheduled opening time. On a positive note, the kids really enjoyed the pool!

Finding the condo and instructions to enter the building was confusing. Handicap parking is not clearly identified and was usually used by vehicles with out stickers. Entrance into condo was dark and needed some TLC but once arrived to the room it was a nice.

The cleanliness of the place when we checked in was not good. The place had been poorly cleaned and it made for a terrible first impression. Then we found out the pool they advertised in the listing was in the Grand Rockies resort which is a totally different facility and we had to walk across the street to access it. When I informed the staff of the poor cleanliness they didn’t seem to really care and they said we could have a refund and leave if we wanted but it was later in the day so we decided to stay and asked for new pillow cases and sheets which they supplied us but we had to remake the bed and change the pillow cases ourselves. The robes they gave us also had holes and it kinda smelled like stale smoke in the suite as well. With so many great options in Canmore I don’t think I would stay here again.

Our housekeeping team takes great pride in their work and was surprised when you called about the cleanliness however they were prepared at the time to come back again. We do advertise that our pet friendly property is in the adjacent building and that the pool is located across the lane but because you were not happy about this we were willing to oblige. We do apologize as the robe slipped through our quality control and we will do better to make sure it doesn't happen again. This property is very well located. Beautiful views. I would not call it a luxury one bedroom. The sheets were not good quality; very stiff. If you turned on the fireplace, the air conditioning would leak onto the mantle.

Not as advertised, a completely different room!
When my family and I found a great room to rent the week before Christmas, we couldn't wait to arrive. When we did, the room was not even remotely close to what was advertised and pictured. We thought we were arriving to a modern, sleek, updated room with an island, in-suite laundry, something that we normally stay at. What we showed up to was a completely different room than what we had booked. The hotel staff assured us that this was the room hotels.com reserved for us, but not only did in not have in-suite laundry, it had no island, it was dated (by decades), it also had a dirty stained carpet. It was literally a completely different room than what I reserved. To add salt to the wound, the pull out didn't have sheets for our kids nor staff to retrieve some from since we checked in so late. We tried to find another hotel at 10pm at night but didn't have any luck as it was the week of Christmas and the Grande Rockies was also sold out. Since we had driven 2 hours to get here, going home was not an option. The entire experience was very upsetting and I would not recommend trusting this listing as it is completely false advertising and should be reviewed and updated immediately before others are duped like us.

All of our units are standard for what you receive and have laundry access.We do have a variety of unit sizes and configurations perhaps you looked at the general property pictures? As per extra linens they are normally kept in the closet or hamper in most units. Awesome pool but little sleep
I thought this would be an easy review but although the property was beautiful the beds were hard and pillows were bad.. We could hear weird HVAC and plumbing noises all night. No blinds on the windows where kids were sleeping. He had a fun stay but no one really got any sleep. The pool is actually in another related hotel and its super inconvenient to get there and get changed with 3 small kids. Change room is cramped. We thought we should have stayed in that hotel instead. That said, the pool was EXCELLENT and my kids LOVED IT. Swim outside hot tub and just really well kept. Pool saved it for sure but I wish we had better beds and better step up for sleeping considering we had a condo. Staff was lovely. Parking was weird. First come first serve so if you left at the wrong time you couldn't find any. Contractors had at least 4 or 5 stalls taken.

PRC Annex is next door and is a pet friendly option for our guests. If you don't have any pets we also provide accommodations at Paradise Resort Club and Spa. The pool is located at that property but no pets are allowed there. Most buildings in Canmore use a boiler system for heat. When it gets colder out it will kick in. If noisy we can ask our HVAC Company look into it. We will also look into the bedding and pillows but most guests prefer firm mattresses. As per parking we actually have dedicated stalls for our guests. Your unit number is posted on the far end of the parkade closer to the property so there must have been some miscommunication with our front desk team. We will look into this. Very disappointed. Our room was in poor condition, many obvious repairs needed ( major cracks in bathroom sink, the tub also has several cracks, the baseboards were lifting off the walls, the loudest washing machine we've ever seen ) The linens were stained and in disrepair. The elements are the stove top were lifting - potential fire hazard while cooking. The overall cleanliness was poor. Streaks down the walls, grim on walls and cupboard doors. We tried to get out of the reservation but were told it was prepaid. If we left early the could try to rent out the room but if they did it would cost us a service fee of $80.00. After two of three nights we just walked away and went home. The parking although underground is far away. The pool is in a different building ie: belongs to another property and you have to walk outside to get there. Once in the main building I had a question about the pool and the guest services in the main building told me I had to call over to guest services from "other" building. You definitely feels like a lesser guest when staying in the Annex building.

The room was clean, definitely older. Gave off hints of previously being a smoking room. Room we received was different then in the picture. The pool was located in a separately building-not ideal for young children. Once at the pool the kids slide was so run down and rough it wasn’t fun to slide down. Our stay was overall good. Beside being disappointed in the age and style of our room things were clean.

We stayed for seven nights and overall it was a great stay. The place was quiet, great kitchen, close to the town centre and suited our family needs. The beds were comfortable and we had amazing views of the mountains. The kids loved the pool and the water slide. They begged to go everyday. The areas for improvement would be that there was something wrong with the fridge, we advised the admin someone came and tinkered around and we never saw them again. The fridge was never fixed while we were there. We also had to request to have out garbage and recycling taken as it was a few days before someone came to collect it (this is included in the service). Lastly, the parking lot is a challenge. I am not sure if it is a common thing in Alberta but users of the lot were unable to park within the lines and if you have a large car you have to squeeze yourself in. Unfortunately our car took a few scratches. This is not a complaint on the property but just be aware when using the lot. Overall we had a great stay and our family enjoyed our holiday. Thank you!

Love the location. Easy to get to some nice eateries and stores. Great access to biking trails. Our kiddo loved the pool that we could use at the resort next door. Check in and check out were easy. Only complaint was that some of the things in the suite needed repair. E.g., the towel bar in the bathroom couldn’t be used due to it detaching from the wall, and the balcony door had a faulty lock. This is our go-to place to stay as a family with pets when we’re in Canmore. We will continue booking it for our annual trip there.

The suite we stayed in was clean and spacious with a nice balcony. The kitchen was well-stocked. We had access to the swimming pool (which recently re-opened). The only downsides were the poor Wifi and not being able to reach the front desk consistently. Overall. We really enjoyed our stay!
