All was good. The exterior definitely needs a paint job. But over all, our room was good, great deck/creek view. Just needs upgrading and some TLC. Staff was great. Pub was handy. Great location. Would stay there again for the right competitive price.

It’s the only place I stay at in Canmore. The staff are always great and the rooms are sufficient. Can’t beat the location and the Drake pub itself. Best patio in Canmore

First off, great location, friendly staff. Chicken wings at pub are excellent. For under $100 in Canmore you can’t beat it. Bed was comfortable and room was clean. Furniture is dated and worn,as is the bathroom. Location is awesome, you’re able to walk to downtown in minutes and most good restaurants are also in walking distance. Wednesday night is wings night and music from bar was heard in room. Stopped after 1am. If your on a budget and you get a good price compared to other options in the area, this is a great place to stay.

The exterior is a little dated and the parking is a little confusing to get into but everything else was great! The room was updated, large and very clean. Beautiful view from the room and a very nice little trail to walk just off the parking lot. Front desk staff was very helpful and friendly.

What a gem of a place! The location is perfect & close to eating options, shopping options & if you want an adult beverage, lots of options for that too. If you're using GPS to get here, be sure not to turn onto 8th because that's the front of the building, stay on the road you are on & the parking lot is just up a little on your left. Staff was super friendly & they had this amazing fan in the room that I'll be looking for when i get home lol. My room was huge, nice balcony & for the price, I would definitely stay here again & recommend it too.

Loved this hotel! Very easy and friendly check in service. Location was central to trails and a park for our dog (huge bonus for us) , and to stores and restaurants! The food in the pub was so good and we loved the live music! The quality bath products were a nice touch! We read it might be hard to sleep in the pet friendly room cause of the bar but we didn’t have that experience! Will be back for sure if we come through Canmore again!

We are sorry you had a broken toilet but she moved you right away to a new room.As for the elevator, it is listed on the website prior to your booking that there are no elevators at this property, while you are booking "Know before you go" it says no elevators at this property and after you book there is a message sent to you with more information and "No elevators" is listed on this message. Sorry you missed them all.

Fantastic stay at the DRAKE! We chose the Drake due to VERY convenient location. Little bit of an older hotel but had exactly everything we needed it for a 1 night stay. ABSOLUTELY AMAZING STAFF! Tried to see if we could check in early and Brenda was amazing and got us in 2 hours early! They even gave me a birthday gift at check out which was completely unexpected and so kind!! Discount at the pub as well was a bonus! Absolutely would recommend and stay here again if needing an affordable, cute and convenient Canmore stay! Thanks guys!

We got to the hotel checked in but did not feel comfortable with the whole place, it is in pretty rough shape. The room had a hockey stick in between the window by the balcony so there would bot be any excess from outdoors . it looked like you could not lock the balcony door from the inside. we tried to cancel the room , but they were not willing. So they charged us the whole amount.
