Clifftop Comfort in de buurt van Cheticamp

Welkom bij dit gloednieuwe vakantiehuis met 3 slaapkamers aan de oceaan op de klif, op 10 minuten van de restaurants, winkels en de golfbaan Le Portage in Cheticamp en op 20 minuten van het nationaal park Cape Breton Highlands.

Geniet vanuit elke kamer van een prachtig uitzicht op de Atlantische oceaan, de ruige kustlijn van Cape Breton en karmozijnrode zonsondergangen.

De ruime keuken is een comfortabele plek om te koken en te entertainen, terwijl het op het westen gelegen zonneterras en het uitkijkpunt op de klif een andere plek bieden voor ontspanning en oceaankijken langs de wereldberoemde Cabot Trail.

Voorzieningen omvatten een zeer goed uitgeruste keuken met roestvrijstalen apparaten, WiFi, SMART TV, satelliet kabel, BBQ, zonnedek, ligstoelen, uitkijk.

Ons huis is een geweldige thuisbasis voor bezoekers die geïnteresseerd zijn om over de Cabot Trail te gaan of golfers die graag willen spelen bij Le Portage en Cabot Cliffs, op slechts 30 minuten rijden naar het zuiden.

Overzicht van dingen om te doen in het gebied:

1. Wandel over de beroemde Skyline Trail in Cape Breton Highlands National Park. Geniet van dramatische landtongrotsen met uitzicht op de ruige kust vanaf het einde van dit vlakke pad. U kunt genieten van het uitzicht van een adelaar op de Cabot Trail terwijl deze zich een weg baant over de berg.

2. Geniet van walvissen spotten en rondvaarten aangeboden door lokale operatoren. Kijk uit voor walvissen in de Golf van St. Lawrence vanaf de kijkdekken. Er leven hier elanden, kale adelaars, beren en talloze boreale vogels.

3. Geniet van live Keltische en vioolmuziek in de restaurants Doryman Pub and Grill en Le Gabriel (op slechts 15 minuten afstand).

4. Le Portage 18-holes golfbaan. Sla af onder de Cape Breton Highlands.

5. Museum / galerij / cultureel centrum - In het erfgoedcentrum van Les Trois Pignons kunt u duiken in de Acadiaanse cultuur en de geschiedenis van Chéticamp, een indrukwekkende collectie wandtapijten, zeldzame haakkleden en antiek bekijken. Er is ook een genealogisch bronnencentrum.

6. Wandeling naar het zwemgat in de Cheticamp Gipsgroeve. Dit is een korte wandeling op een gevestigde trail / ATV-baan die je naar een mooie, geheime zwemplek bij Cheticamp leidt.

7. Zwemmen op Cheticamp Island Beach. Rij over de eilandweg van Cheticamp en stop en parkeer bij zandduinen.

Our stay was fantastic! The home is beautiful, spacious, and well-equipped, our family of four had plenty of room to relax. The location is perfect, right between Belle Côte and Chéticamp, with incredible cliffside views. Falling asleep to the sound of the ocean and waking up to the water view was absolutely unforgettable. The host was wonderful and very helpful, and check-in was simple and seamless. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience!

What a beautiful spot to watch iconic sunsets. We explored during the day and couldn’t wait to return to this gem and watch the beautiful sky at sunset. We also enjoyed sunrise on the decks. A convenient location for getting to the west side of Cape Breton NP. The house has a gorgeous water view, and is very comfortable!We enjoyed seeing the Milky Way on a clear night, as there is a nice dark sky over the water in the back yard. We hiked in the park, biked a lovely bike trail ( rented at Inverness Adventures), strolled the beach, and enjoyed music at the nearby Doryman Pub. A great vacation! Managers are easy to communicate with.

Wonderful stay on the Cape Breton coast

The home is immaculate and seems brand new and was very comfortable for my husband and I. Michael was a great host - checking in with us to be sure everything was going well and answering any questions. The best thing was the sunset views every night. We stayed in Baddeck for the second half of our Cape Breton trip and really missed those sunsets! I had low expectations of food options in Cheticamp but was very pleasantly surprised! We really enjoyed Cafe Les Suetes and the L'Abri Cafe and the co-op in Cheticamp had a great selection of all kinds of produce and any grocery item you might need.

Cape Breton Cheticamp

Our stay at Cliff-top Comfort near Cheticamp was an ideal location for exploring most of the Cape Breton area. The house was very clean, in a great location with fantastic views. We really enjoyed watching all the lobster boats coming in and collecting their traps first thing in the morning. The ocean views from the back porch were breathtaking. The one and only negative was the air conditioning in the living room did not quite make it back to the bedrooms. For us, that only became a factor on two nights because the temps were perfect for having the windows open letting in fresh, cool ocean air. However, had I dug into the closet (which I didn't need and didn't even open) there was a portable unit in there. I'm sure that would have made a difference. House directions mentioned air conditioning in the master, but did not mention it was a portable unit in the closet. Like I said though, it was only a factor on two nights of our 6 night stay and a fan helped tremendously. I would highly recommend Cliff-Top as a place to stay and explore Cape Breton.

Amazing Property!!

This is an absolutely amazing property. The views are spectacular!! The house was set up perfectly for my group (all of us over sixty), as there no stairs to navigate aside from a couple of entry steps to the house. Every bedroom has an amazing view so no one feels left out. As matter of fact every room in the house has a million dollar view. The property was clean, well stocked, and the host was just the right amount of communicative. He touched base with us mid way through the stay to make sure all was well but was never intrusive. Make sure you leave a day to just hang on the deck with your beverage of choice, the deck faces the sun all afternoon and provides an amazing place to watch the sun set. Would absolutely stay here again!!

This property is perfectly situated on Cape Breton. It faces the wayer (big windows) in Kitchen, dining area, living area and bedroom. It is spotless. The kitchen is extremely neat and organized. The fridge was spotless and no odor. Yhe dining area(open to the kitchen) is all windows. The master bedroom and bath were nicely decorated, Bed was extremely comfortable. There were plenty of ectra linens, should we have neefed them. Washer and dryer came in very handy as we had traveled long term. Laundry detergent was available. The property is on the ocean cliffside. There were both Adirondack chairs as well as zero-gravity chairs for us to use. ALL were clean and in great condition. Michael was extremely responsive to our inquiries both before booking, as well as during the period prior to check-in. Also, the instructions on entering the home and rules of the home were clear and reasonable. These rules ensure the home is well cared for and reaffirms pride in ownership. When we arrived, the owner asked us to call him to chat. Michael made sure we had what we needed and that all was good and in working order. He even offered ideas on what to do in the area. Parking is easy and generous. We have rented homes often and this property is the cleanest, best organized we have ever had. Thank you Michael for making our stay so wonderful. We will return and will try one of your other properies next time.
