Dorpszwembad thuis met speelkamer

  • Welkom bij onze Tropical Captiva Island Vacation thuis weg van huis. We besloten om ons huis Sanga Na Langa te noemen, wat geen zorgen betekent in de Fijische taal. Niets is passender nadat je een week of langer thuis en op Captiva Island hebt ervaren. Ons vakantiehuis is volledig bijgewerkt met vier slaapkamers, drie badkamers, een speelkamer, een verwarmd privézwembad en meer. Er is een ruim hoofdniveau met woonkamer, eethoek, open keuken, twee slaapkamers en een badkamer. Net buiten de eetkamer en woonkamer is een gescreend Lanai met zitplaatsen en extra dineren. De hoofdslaapkamer is boven met een comfortabel kingsize bed en een eigen badkamer. Beneden is nog een logeerkamer, een zithoek en een speelkamer. Op de begane grond is er nog een afgeschermde zithoek met uitzicht op het verwarmde privézwembad. Als u wat zon wilt vangen, hebben we veel ligstoelen en zitplaatsen bij het zwembad. Het hele gebied is omheind en privé. Toegang tot het wereldberoemde Captiva Island-strand aan het einde van de baan. Omdat ons huis zich in het dorpsgebied van Captiva bevindt, kunt u uw auto parkeren en naar het strand, winkels en restaurants lopen. We kijken ernaar uit u binnenkort in ons nieuwe vakantiehuis te verwelkomen!

Beautiful big house, 5 minute walk from beach, ice cream shop, Mexican restaurant. A few more minutes walk and you are at other restaurants, the marina and manatees. Great location if you don’t really want to go anywhere else. Beds were comfortable, nice linens and towels. Great swimming pool and jacuzzi. Nice washer and dryer; so convenient! Kitchen was a bit disorganized but just fine. Eight family members fit easily into this comfortable and airy house!!! We really enjoyed it!

Dream Vacation

You will love this vacation rental very clean and spacious. We had five adults and there was plenty room for everyone. The pool was very relaxing after being at the beach. Beautiful home

This is a gorgeous and very comfortable home for a vacation in Captiva. It has all the amenities you could possibly want inside the home from wi-fi, televisions, a game room, beautiful kitchen and a large porch. The pool and hot tub are perfect for children. The beach is an easy walk down the street and we spent every morning there swimming and collecting shells. It was an easy walk to many wonderful restaurants. All in all, a fabulous vacation home!!

Excellent Vacation!

My family of 8 really enjoyed our stay in Captiva. Even with the impact of the hurricane still evident, we found enough places open and enough things to do. The property is very clean, and the location is excellent, even closer to the beach than it seems. The amenities (kitchen items, towels, etc) of the house were as described and there was plenty of everything. There was an issue with a screen door and the hot tub, but both were corrected promptly. My only complaint is that the lower level was described as having a full living space with couches, chairs, refrigerator, tables, etc. This is one main reason we booked this property as we have teenagers and wanted to make sure they had a place to hangout. Unfortunately, with the hurricane, the lower level had to be remodeled and the furniture was not replaced at the time of our visit. This wasn’t communicated and we didn’t know until we got there. I wish we would have been told in enough time to book a property that better suited our family or would have been offered a small refund since we did not feel we were given the same amount of living space we paid for. I hated to have this blemish on an otherwise excellent property. If the lower level could either be furnished as advertised or described as it now is, I would not hesitate to stay there again!

Happy to be back on Captiva.

Sanga na Langa is a fantastic location. We were very happy to be so close to the beach, and to various amenities such restaurants and stores. It did our hearts good to see the island recovering from Hurricane Ian, and we were happy to contribute to the recovery with our presence. We appreciate that the house itself is still recovering too. We wanted it noted the the railings on each of the balconies were unstable, and that we found them this way - we did not contribute to them becoming unstable. Likewise, one of the front steps needs to be replaced. We have concerns that if it is not replaced soon, it could be a hazard for a future guest (i.e., it could cause someone to slip and fall). Again, we did not contribute or cuase these issues - I assure you that we left the house as we found it. Also, after a night of storms, we found some standing water in the game room but were unable to determine where it came in from. Nothing was damaged and the water was easily mopped up. Of course, we have some aesthetic suggestions: we would have liked ambient lighting in the bunk room; we found the basement bedroom too stuffy to sleep in; and we would have liked a sitting chair in the upper bedroom. But these are small details - especially compared to the safety concerns of the steps and railing . Again, on the whole, we had a great week and were simply happy to be there, happy to be on Captiva, happy to be on vacation, happy to be at the ocean and happy to be together. Thank you

Wonderful!

We had a fantastic week at Sanga Na Langa! The house is lovely and well-supplied. It was quite clean, with the exception of the areas that we all tend to overlook in our own homes, mainly the dishwasher filter, & a musty smell in the upstairs washing machine (both of which we took care of ourselves). There is a second fridge and washer/dryer in the basement and the big grill on the pool deck works well. As others have indicated, the house needs plastic plates and cups that are good for little kids and taking out to the pool. The beds were comfortable and there was plenty of room to spread out. With the exception of plasticware, the kitchen was very well stocked! The Sonos system was great for being able to play music throughout the main living space and on the back porch. We loved being able to walk into the village and to the beach within just a couple of minutes. We were able to use the game room, but it needs some attention. The slot machines are difficult to open and one of them has a broken-off key which made doing so nearly impossible, the big game has a broken screen which rendered it unusable, the air hockey table wobbles, and the shuffleboard table needs to be treated so that the pucks slide as intended. The management company was very responsive when we called to ask about the game room and came to do what they could to make it work better. The house has several beach umbrellas in good shape; the chairs were more beaten up, but would still have worked if we didn't have our own. We didn't need to use the beach cart, but we saw it in the garage and it looks like it's in good shape. There are no pool floats, so if that's important to you, bring your own or plan to buy them when you arrive. Our kids loved the cornhole set! One thing that is not clear in the listing: The basement is accessed by going down the stairs, outside into the garage, and then back into the house. If you've got little kids that you're planning to have sleep down there, you'll need a monitor if you want to be able to hear them from upstairs. We had a wonderful time staying at Sanga Na Langa and would not hesitate to book this house again. Many thanks to the owners and management company for facilitating a great week.

Wonderful vacation and time with family in the beautiful home. We all loved the swimming pool! The downstairs area was like a private apartment with its own refrigerator, washer and dryer and sitting area. My family has said repeatedly this was their favorite home they’ve stayed in for vacation! Room to spread out and room to sit down as a family! Hope to return next summer!

Beautiful spacious home on a great street! Close to the beach and restaurants. The basement set up was perfect for our kid's quarters. They loved it. That is when we could get them to come out of the pool. Very nice pool, hot tub, and outside area. Could use some plastic dishware for the kiddo's. Great place, we would stay here again!

We had a wonderful vacation week at this property. It's a beautiful home. We loved the pool, the children also loved the game room...a definite bonus! The description of the property made it clear there was a second floor but we neglected to order a gate for the bottom of the stairs (we had a toddler with us). We managed to barricade the stairway with chairs but we should have rented a gate! Also, the 4th bedroom was too far away for us to use with young children but it would be perfect for another couple or a teenager. FYI, we noticed that the railing on the right side going upstairs from the pool to the porch is very wobbly. It wasn't a problem for us but you may want to look at it. This is a GREAT home. Thank you for renting it to us! I appreciated the quick communication with Ryan via email and text whenever I had a question prior to arriving at the home. We also appreciated the referral for renting a crib for the week.

Home is perfect for a group or large family. We loved the pool- it was beautifully heated and well maintained. Fantastic open living space and kitchen. Location can’t be beat- steps to beach and some great restaurants. Owners were quickly responsive to some issues. When we visit I next I do hope to see some more family friendly dish wear (currently it’s all glass and no kids cups/bowls), as well as actual pump hand soap would be nice (bar soap by sink at this price point?? Come on!). Other than that it was absolutely perfect!

Wonderful spot between beach and village

We enjoyed our stay here very much, with only short walks to the beach, watersports, restaurants and shops. The backyard pool and hot tub is terrific and was heavily used every day. The main living area, kitchen, decks and three main bedrooms were all very comfortable. However, the additional bedroom(s) in the basement are only suitable for young children, with older uncomfortable mattresses. So with 6 of us there needing at least 4 bedrooms, someone ended up sleeping on the sofa every night. So as long as you only need 3 adult bedrooms, there couldn't be a more perfect sunshine escape than this!

The house was great. We really enjoyed staying there. There are a few things that could make a stay there even better. Kitchen - there are not really any unbreakable cups or plates. We were nervous about taking glass into the pool area so some plastic ware could be great. Also, we could not find a large pot that could be used for boiling seafood or pasta. Bedroom - the mattress in the queen bedroom in the back of the house tended to sag in the middle. Master bedroom - the master closet was not very well lit. I think maybe some bulbs need to be replaced. Games - We could not get the two slot machine games to work but enjoyed the other games. These are not meant to be complaints but suggestions. We really loved our stay in the home. Hopefully we will be back sometime. They were very helpful. Before arriving I had a few questions about things that might be at the house which were promptly answered. While there, we noticed a few things that were not working so I called just to make them aware. It was nothing that needed immediate attention. They were very helpful.
