'We stayed in coral room which is in a courtyard very safe with digital locks for room and courtyard at night! Turquoise blue shallow water right across the street for snorkeling/swimming. On site restaurant and bar was great and other dining options in any direction walkable. Plenty of local history and the people you meet are super friendly!'

'We just got back from staying in the Sunset Suite at VH with our family of 4. We loved the quirkiness of the house, built in the late 18th century so it has wonky floors, but it gives it character. The 2 bedrooms are the only rooms with A/C so be prepared for the living room, kitchen and bathroom to be a lil toasty. We did ask for an extra box fan, which they kindly provided.
We enjoyed hanging out at Ruff Night bar on premises and getting to know the locals. Everyone is sooo friendly! Even...

'This property is old but has a lot of potential. It has a historic feel and is really cool. However, it could use a refresh. It’s loud around there, as there is a club next door. But it’s super convenient and so close to shopping, places to eat and the boardwalk! It’s inexpensive and did the job for a last minute quick trip to the island. '

'The rooms look exactly like the pictures. The staff is so sweet and accommodating! I loved everything about my stay and would definitely come back. The only issue is it’s far away from everything but if you rent a car that solves that problem. We choose not to and the staff gave us a variety of cab services in the area which were also extremely nice and pleasant. It was amazing. '

'5 star hotel with 3 star price. If you have any doubt just book it!! The view is breathtaking the staff very attentive. The dining staff superior. The design of the hotel should be on every sea side. I had the best birthday celebrating at the waves. Only regret not booking my entire stay here. Charlette such a premier manager and really a very active manager. Her communication is impeccable. Thank you Waves for the best birthday jubilee. '

The hotel is situated almost in the middle of the island close to one of the best beaches - Cane Bay, and great if you like to explore the island. We recommend renting a car since the beach is about 9 minute drive. Overall - great experience and great place to stay'
