The room smelled terrible! There was a hole in the shower, the shower nozzle was broken. In orde lr to get new towels, you had to turn in your dirty towels downstairs and exchange for new ones. There were no toiletries available. I would not recommend this hotel.

It is older than announced. The police was there before our incident. Most of the crowd at the hotel is not on vacation. I reserved here for a one-nighter for my son's soccer tournament. 1. Our room was 332, facing the freeway. There is NO way anyone can have a -decent night's sleep. SUPER NOISEY 2. The AC was half functional, changing a degree or two moved from too hot to too cold. 3. The property and the rooms are very dated. Just avoid staying here.

Emily at the front desk made check in super easy even with the hotel going through some renovations and key card issues. There was trash still left in our fridge but room cleanliness was fine other than that. Beds were super comfy and overall I would stay here again if needed

I stayed here in January 2023, it was a very good stay. Clean quiet, however this time, there was a water leak in the ceiling and a looks like mold above the TV. The mirror was covered by the TV. The carpet was pretty stinky. I was only there for one night so it wasn’t a big deal. Oh, in the shower needed some definite TLC.

My girlfriend and I stayed here for 3 nights just to get away and enjoy some time alone together. After checking in, our room wasn’t cleaned through. There was hair all over the sink and cleaning supplies left out all over the bathroom. The lady at the front desk was apologetic and gave us a new room she said she cleaned herself and she knew it would be clean, which it was. She rocked. This place is in a beautiful area and don’t get me wrong, it’s not the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed at… but it just didn’t feel safe. You can tell there have been people living in this hotel for a while. The hallways are dark and musky smelling, the rooms are dated, there are marks all over the walls.. just overall I wouldn’t jump back up to stay here. Carlsbad itself is beautiful and we loved the town. We will be returning, just not to this hotel. Thank you all though, I do appreciate you fixing the issue with the rooms. If you cleaned up the hotel and maybe modernized the rooms, I would return.

Right next to main hwy so noise was CONTINUAL and windows wouldn't even completely close! Even after buying ear plugs the 2nd day the freeway noise was too much. Also allowed dogs so barking from time to time. Everything else was great but was exhausted my whole 5 night stay.
