'House is cute and in a nice walkable neighborhood. The upstairs of the home (kit, living room, dining) was nice. Owners had a great coffee area set up, only thing was there were not coffee filters, so we didn't get to take advantages of the coffee. The downstairs was disappointing, the carpet is stained and the downstairs area smells. I guess this is good for those who have their pets (which we did not). 'Fine property but several inconveniences. Upstairs shower is very small, not usable for any adult or teenager, so expect to only have one shower. Additionally main shower head is damaged and has a significant leak out the bottom of the head. No kitchen trash bags or paper towels were provided so we had to go buy some. Overall it was good for a weekend stay where we weren't at the house much.'

The pool was dirty although I was told it was clean. We brushed it out but the filters Don’t work properly. The railing into the pool is broken and potentially dangerous. 'We enjoyed the stay immensely at La Cueva! The three bedrooms were perfect for our family of five. It allowed the kids space to spread out and relax after a long drive to Carlsbad, as well as after some long days visiting both Carlsbad Caverns and Guadalupe Mtns NPs. 'My friend and I spent a week traveling NM and stayed here after visiting Carlsbad caverns. It’s a really cute house, the area felt very safe, and it’s by plenty of food and grocery stores. Would definitely stay again if I’m ever in the area!'
