'Darren at reception was really lovely, the lady who served us breakfast in the morning was very lovely and accommodating. The hotel dog ran up to us barking as we were leaving, which was a bit alarming. The bedroom was simple and clean. Unfortunately the hotel has an awful smell, even in the bedrooms, like damp or mouldy carpets. A bee was in our room, luckily my husband was able to get it out. I appreciate it is an old historic building, but a deep clean and refresh of the carpets might help.'

'We hadden een standaard kamer geboekt voor drie nachten, maar we kregen na de eerste nacht een gratis upgrade naar een suite met zeezicht. Helemaal super dus. Het hotel met slechts 10 kamers was heel mooi gelegen direct aan het strand met uitzicht op Saint Michael’s Mount. Het ontbijt was erg goed. '

'The hosts were lovely. Clean, safe, comfortable, good common area includes fridge, glasses, plates & cutlery. Delicious breakfasts with a view of the colourful boat harbour. The pub in Mousehole (5 min walk) was good. Parking is a short distance away but make sure you have cell / text service to use the parking app in case the only machine in the lot isn't working as the next lot is 2 miles away! Would stay here again!!!'

'Mijn vriend en ik verbleven hier omdat super veel hotels en bed and breakfasts in Cornwall waren volgeboekt. Achteraf een top keuze geweest. Het hotel ligt op een mooie locatie, een rustig dorpje, en heeft een goede sfeer. Wij waren een hapje gaan eten in Porthleven maar het had ook in het hotel zelf gekund. De medewerkers zijn super aardig en de kamer zag er schoon uit, maar was wel aan de kleine kant. Breakfast was heel goed! Zeker een aanrader.'

'Beautiful location for this really special place to stay. We had two night here. Although we didn’t have great weather, it hardly altered as the hotel has lots of cosy places to sit and look out on the truly stunning gardens. The staff were incredibly friendly and kind. Thank you to whoever found my husbands watch and called us so we were not too far away to come back for it! Another highlight is the hotel’s own soap products which smell amazing and are available to buy. Sadly they had run out...

'A beautiful hotel in an incredible location, with lovely spa facilities that are worth a visit. The staff were friendly and welcoming throughout our stay. That said, for a hotel of this calibre, we did notice a few areas where the experience fell short of expectations. Small touches — like having the tea tray refreshed without needing to ask — are the kind of details that elevate a stay, and we found ourselves having to prompt for these. 'Such a wonderful property, and the rooms are so very clean and comfortable. We slept so well, and were treated quite nicely. Kate is such a lovely host, and her brekkie is top-notch. We enjoyed chatting with her as we ate, and found her delightful and helpful. The farm setting is so peaceful (for us guest that is, a lot of hard work for owners), and the location is great for visiting the Lizard and other places around south Cornwall. Thank you much for such a great stay!'
