Dit prachtig verbouwde appartement met één slaapkamer heeft alles wat u zich kunt wensen om uw vakantie een comfortabel verblijf te maken. Volledig uitgeruste ultramoderne keuken heeft alles wat je nodig hebt om een heerlijk diner of gewoon een stranddrankje te maken om van te genieten vanaf je eigen terras op de derde verdieping. U kunt genieten van de zon op uw terras of genieten van het grote privézwembad en toegang tot het strand. Mooi grasveld om te gamen en te koken. Unit is uitgerust met Wi-Fi, kabel en DVR uw gemak.
Pleasure Island biedt vele natuurlijke en commerciële attracties. Er is een verscheidenheid aan eetgelegenheden, van informele tot meer luxe menu's met dagelijks verse visspecialiteiten. Onze charterboten in de haven in het hart van Carolina Beach bieden chartervissen aan (zowel voor de kust als diepzee). Het North Carolina Aquarium en Fort Fisher History Museum liggen aan het einde van de weg aan de zuidkant van het eiland. Het aquarium is een geweldige familie-ervaring en heeft regelmatig verschillende tentoonstellingen en evenementen. Vanuit het aquarium heeft u ook toegang tot getijdenmoeraspaden en kunt u genieten van alle inheemse flora en fauna. Neem een stap terug in de tijd en bezoek de Ft. Fisher History Museum en leer meer over de geschiedenis van het gebied tijdens de burgeroorlog. In de winter is er zelfs een live re-enactment van de laatste veldslag in het fort. In hetzelfde gebied vindt u de Ft. Fisher naar Southport veerboot. Het is echt leuk om een ritje met de veerboot te maken voor een dagtocht naar het historische Southport voor wat antiek en lunch op de rivier. Als u van surfvissen houdt, heeft u toegang tot de zuidkant van Ft. Fisher van de Ft. Fisher-recreatiegebied met vierwielaandrijving of te voet. Er is ook toegang met vierwielaandrijving aan de noordkant van Carolina Beach in Freeman Park. Het Carolina Beach State Park ligt aan de westkant van het eiland en biedt kilometers prachtige natuurlijke wandelpaden, kajakken en vissen. U kunt zelfs een pontonboot huren en een dag op het water doorbrengen met het bezoeken van eilanden en moerassen. Tijdens het zomerseizoen zijn er ritten op de Carolina Beach-promenade voor de kinderen, evenals donderdagavondvuurwerk met live entertainment. Gezinsavond is dinsdag met speciaal entertainment voor de kinderen. Bij het Carolina Beach Lake (dat het dichtst bij het water ligt aan de oceaan aan de oostkust) is er een gratis familiefilm in de buitenlucht op zondagavond en een geweldige boerenmarkt op zaterdagochtend. Kom voor de vakantie en geniet van het Island Of Lights! Het meer en de promenade zijn versierd met lichten en kerstverrassingen met allerlei entertainment voor de kinderen. Het hele jaar door is er zoveel plezier op Pleasure Island. Kom ons snel zien!

Would not recommend

I visit CB several times a year and have stayed in many places along CB. I do not recommend this place. This unit is run by a property mgmt co that treats you as all business as opposed to actually welcoming you to their home like many other VRBOs I’ve stayed at. You get exactly one roll of toilet paper, one dishwasher tab, one trash bag etc. No dish soap, no small shampoo/conditioner to get you through the first night/morning before going to store. It is all bare minimums. Plus you have to sign a ridiculous 8 page contract that they say is mandatory for state, but which I’ve never had to do at any other place. If you want to sleep in or take an afternoon nap, forget it. Large building next door is under construction. Sounds of construction and trailer size generator all day every day. Communication by mgmt company also poor. Got text that pool was down before we got there and never got follow up communication about pool being re-open. Yet They are quick to text the rules. With so many similarly priced options on CB, I will be going elsewhere in future trips.

Our stay was for the most park very relaxing once the Memorial Day crowd left. There were times we could not find a parking space because the beach goers were using our parking lot as public parking, once Memorial Day was over it was not an issue. Other than that our neighbors were always smoking on the deck. The water also has a bad odor, which I understand is not the property managers fault. Besides those things it was a great stay. Loves being right on the beach and close to everything.

I liked the property, and the area is very nice too. The pool was open which was a nice bonus. Walking distance to town and the beach is spectacular. Really nice time. Enjoyed every minute!

Not what we expected

I was trying to hold out on writing this review in hopes that there would be some kind of resolution made, but we have been gone 2 weeks now and no more than an email saying they would forward to upper management. As far as the location and the views, it was great. The inside was the problem. The photos looked beautiful but what the photos do not show is the entry door that looks like it has been kicked in multiple times. The hinges are so rusted they about fall off and the gap at the top lets in hot air all day. Even when locked you could about push it open if you tried. The front sliding glass doors are also not working properly and there is a sign to direct you on what door to use. The water smelled like sewer gas for the first few minutes every time you would turn on. Really gross when you thought about cooking with it or showering in it….. and when you did shower you were standing in a few inches of dirty shower water because the drain was not draining properly. The internet and TVs were also very slow and would come in and out in the middle of a show. We also had a note left on the counter one day after being gone to the beach saying that a company had come into the condo to spray for bugs. Which is totally fine, we understand that these things have to be done. But we were given no notice as to if and when this company would be coming so that we could properly put away our belongings when strangers would be entering the condo. So very disappointed in that as well.

60th birthday getaway

My husband and I escaped for a 4 day weekend trip over Easter which was also my 60th birthday. The check in process was seamless, the condo was clean, well sanitized linens saran wrapped on each of the beds, well appointed kitchen with all the things one would need. The view was spectacular! We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. It was a great place to relax, rest, and reconnect. It is on the third floor, so if you are not able to do stairs, please consider.

Wonderful view, perfect location

We had a wonderful time. The location was directly on the beach, just a few steps over the boardwalk to sandy toes! The condo itself is in an older building but the unit has been updated. The kitchen was stocked enough for the basic cooking we did. No elevators, and this is a third floor unit. We had no issues with this but some may. We loved sitting on the balcony watching the waves, which was set back from the others so was fairly private. We only had a few small issues. We couldn’t get the tv in the living room to connect to wifi so Netflix, Prime, etc were unable to be accessed. Cable worked fine though. The bedroom tv had no issues logging in. The shower curtain rod fell on day two just as I opened it (without adding any weight or pressure). We were able to place it back. For these issues we reached out to management and they answered quickly and offered to send maintenance out. We declined as it wasn’t a huge concern for us, and they stated they would fix those things upon our departure. We did have a pool key and was told the pool was open, however the chairs had all been removed from the pool deck, so there was nowhere to sit/relax. Didn’t bother us as we just spent time on the beach. We assumed this was due to the threats of Ian just before we arrived. Overall, we would stay here again in a heartbeat! We loved Carolina Beach and this condo!

Relaxed location, beach front with a beautiful view. Bed was pretty comfortable. Property was clean and bright. Kitchen could be better stocked with pans, coffee mugs, glasses, etc. Microwave was very noisy. Would definitely stay here again!

Loved it!

This was perfect for my husband and me. We took a long weekend to celebrate his retirement and birthday. The view was gorgeous and the unit was clean. The bed was very comfortable and it is in a great location. We highly recommend this rental.

The bathroom did not look as if it had been cleaned before our arrival. The ad for the property should let renters know that they need to provide anything they would need to cook with. The dishes were dirty and cracked and chipped. Plan on eating out for every meal. The view of the beach was nice. We would have moved if not for the balcony.

Lovely condo, great location

We really enjoyed our stay here. The condo was very clean and well appointed. It is on the top floor so be prepared for lots of steps! The beds were relatively comfortable. Great views from the deck! Would 100% stay here again.

Family Spring Break Weekend

The condo was updated, clean, and ocean front. Grocery stores and lots of local dining options within one mile. The only drawback is a 4 pm check in and 10 am checkout which makes a weekend stay very short. Management is very responsive and communicates very well. We would definitely stay again.

The condo complex appears to be a bit old, but this unit was newly remodeled and modern. There were a few less than perfect things, but mostly very new and clean.

Property was overall clean with the exception of 2 dead roaches in the bedroom floor. We also dealt with a sewage smell coming from the faucets and shower. When we called and spoke with maintenance we were told that was always a possibility being close to the beach. We were promised a return call from the office once they opened, but that never happened. We called the office after it opened and spoke with Steve who was less than helpful. He told us they would need to put a ticket in and a tech would get to it when they could. Nobody called or showed up to address the problem. Steve was very clear that getting a refund or moving to a different place was not an option. He was to concerned with what he could NOT do vs how he could fix the issue. I will not rent with this rental company again.
