'Based on the rating we had a higher expectation. Hospitality is not sincere, limited English and hotel was focused on high volume instead of cusomized service. During our stay of 3 nights we had about 50 plus schoolchildren making music untill 3 at night and running over the corridors smashing doors. 'This hotel is just outside of cat ba town. to go out for dinner in the evening involves a bit of a walk up a hill into town. It is down in the harbor where you catch the boats to go to Halong Bay. It is immaculate. the breakfast is served to you. It is not an all you can eat breakfast but it is certainly sufficient. But if. you want an extra coffee, they want to charge you for it. 'Booked a family room for 2 nights, and actually was suprised how good the room was! A lot of space, nice bed (blanket is only a no for me, not really soft), bathroom is also big. Celebrated the birthday of my hubby in this hotel, I brought some balloons and asked if the staff could fill the room with the balloons for me while we’re away. 'amazing staff'

' The guy from the information about trips was really friendly and good. The hotel itself was okay but in the corridors guests were noisy, which was disturbing. Also the breakfast was not very nice and the pool had unclear water. '

'Was a great stay. Breakfast on the street is great, rooms spacious and in a cave, very cool. The only resort that I stayed in Vietnam that had hot water. The staff very welcoming and extremely helpful. Shame about the monster resort getting built in front, looking at cranes and building work. '

'Amazing host. Can't give my compliments enough to Dat. He cared for each of us like we were a member of his family and I can say to any traveller you will always be in safe hands. He knows all the best spots to go and has access to some of the best restaurants on the island. On top of this the hotel was modern, clean and the restaurants food was incredible. I literally can't think of a single issue with Seoul 2.'

'The Ireland Hotel is a nice family run hotel. Corner Rooms are bright (there is also internal rooms without windows) and the hotel is generally clean. A few small issues with bulbs not working and TV not working but that is very minor. It’s close to the main “drag” but noise was not an issue. Cat Ba is unfortunately undergoing a lot of construction and modernisation so it’s best to rent a scooter and venture out of town. '

'Super mooi uitzicht over de baai. Hotel heeft wel een opknapbeurt nodig. Zorg dat je op de 4 e etage zit dan heb je een geweldig uitzicht en heerlijk met balkon. Overall prima!'

'The boat was nice. It’s not the luxury liners you see, but it was a nice size and the rooms were good. The dinning area was cozy making it great for mingling with other passengers. The top deck was nice. What made the trip for us was the food and the staff. The staff were wonderful. Very kind and friendly and helpful and the food was amazing!! We were fortunate to share our tour with a group of locals. They treated to a very special meal, but even without that the food was delicious and...

'Petite pause de 3 nuits à Cat Ba. Linda nous a très bien accueilli et nous a proposé d'organiser qques excursions si nous le voulions. Hôtel non loin du centre ville, et des plages, accessibles à pied. Petit déjeuner correct avec du choix. Belle terrasse en rooftop. Cours de cuisine proposé. Nous avons eu un incident avec nos toilettes qui a été résolu dans la demi heure après en avoir informé Linda. Merci !'
