Een zeldzame vondst in het hart van Leelanau County deze echt charmante "draai van de eeuw" vintage boerderij stijl huis is gelegen op 10 prachtige roliing hectare. Slechts enkele minuten naar Lake Michigan en Lake Leelanau. Dit huis op twee niveaus is gelegen in het hart van Leelanau County, net ten noorden van Cedar. Achtertuin staat op het oosten. 8 slaapkamers en 3 badkamers. Geschikt voor maximaal 16 personen.

4 Queens, 2 Fulls, 1 stapelbed en 2 Twins. Twee slaapkamers op de begane grond en zes slaapkamers op de bovenverdieping. Houten vloeren, 2 open haarden, volledig uitgeruste keuken met vaatwasser. Was-en droogautomaat. TV (geen kabel), DVD. Wifi.

Geweldige plek om te ontspannen in de rust van dit landelijke gebied, lees boeken, drink wijn en geniet van het goede leven. Houtskoolgrill en ruim terras om buiten te eten. Sterren kijken 's nachts in de kristalheldere lucht. Klaar om te zwemmen? Ga een paar minuten oostwaarts naar South Lake Leelanau of westwaarts naar het mooie Good Harbor-strand aan Lake Michigan. De schattige steden Glen Arbor of Leland zijn ook gemakkelijke ritjes. Minder dan 20 mijl naar Traverse City.
Geen airconditioning. Geen huisdieren. Linens worden verstrekt. Niet roken.
Zal rekening houden met wekelijkse of korte verblijven gedurende elk seizoen. Minimaal 3 nachten in de zomer. Korte verblijven zijn toegestaan tijdens de eerste zomerdagen, maar er worden geen aanbetalingen in rekening gebracht voor reserveringen van minder dan 7 nachten die online worden geboekt totdat de reservering de volgende werkdag door Visit Up North wordt bevestigd. Family Reunion

This was a great location for a small family reunion. We loved the peace and quiet of the community and the deck was lovely to sit on and sip a glass of wine and converse. Plenty of bedrooms for our group.

Perfect for large groups

We were considering reserving 6-8 hotel rooms for the nights before & after a family reunion in Traverse City. Found this property on VRBO & couldn't have been happier. We had plenty of space with great amenities plus a huge cost savings vs hotel rooms. Very nice experience!

We rented here 5 years ago. Many lovely updates. Spacious. The house was clean and like all houses up north had a few little beetles that were never an issue, no ants. Linens were clean and all rooms had fans and a screen to put in the double hung windows. Loved it.

It was not a good experience.

The house is in a bad location, the house is old, it was dirty, at night you could hear people passing by outside, there was no air conditioning, overall it was a bad experience and we will not return to this house. Very disappointed as it looked very nice in the photos.

Relaxing and fun stay!

We are a group of friends who got to get away for a long weekend together. We loved the space and the location- lots of open area in the house and outside but still very close to the city. A few things I wish I had known were that there is very sparse cell phone service and that there was a portable dishwasher. Luckily I'm familiar with how to use one but most aren't. Most of the supplies were well stocked, but there were not enough silver ware for each person. There were also only 2 trash bagsand no extra blankets. Otherwise it was a great stay at a great location!

Visit Up North employees are quick to respond to reasonable requests and are courteous and pleasant. August 2024’s weather was VERY hot (90 to 100 degrees every day) and the fans in every room were very welcome!We are 8 professional artists coming to paint plein air (outside) every day, all day. The house is large enough to all gather together, if we want, either in the dining room, living room, or the deck outside. We critique our paintings in the long and narrow enclosed front porch. We each have our own bedroom which allows us to maintain our individual schedules. Two bedrooms down, six bedrooms up the very narrow stairs. There are two full baths downstairs, one with tub, one with shower. Upstairs, one toilet and sink, and in its own room, a shower, a very convenient setup.

The farmhouse was beautiful and charming as well as in a perfect location to drive between Sleeping Bear Dunes and Traverse City. Our only complaint was finding dirty clothes under beds and having to completely wash and dry all dishes before leaving in the morning instead of running (and leaving) in dishwasher.

Enjoyed this place...with room to spread out

We were three families doing a little reunion up north--eight adults and three children--and we found ample room to spread out among all the sleeping quarters. I'm a fresh air freak and I liked the sunny, airy feeling of the upstairs bedrooms, although the better bathrooms are downstairs--including a newly renovated bath in the en suite located off the dining room (really nice tiled shower in that room). The upstairs--where most bedrooms are--has only a tiny fiberglass shower with a curtain that wants to deliver water to the wood floor there...a separate room next door hides a sink and commode (which is very slow to fill between flushes--and sometimes doesn't fill). Modern conveniences like exhaust fans to remove bathroom moisture, and electrical outlets, and windows that open smoothly and wide--these things are not found in heritage properties like this. The mattresses could be cushier/updated. The wifi was awful sluggish. And there was only one house key--would have been better to provide two. But we found everything we needed, including kitchen utensils, linens and towels. And the surroundings are positively beautiful, especially in the morning and evening, when you can see and hear sandhill cranes, deer, muskrat, and other wildlife roaming the rolling hills. A short drive to Sleeping Bear Dunes and T.C., and lots of farm stands providing sweet corn, cherries, peaches and more for old-time slow food lovers. It met our needs and we enjoyed our vacation with this old house as our home base.
