'My family had a different reason for seeking peace on our trip to the area. We were in town for a family funeral, and this little piece of heaven was exactly what we needed. The cabin was very welcoming, had what we needed, and had the peace that was very welcomed during this difficult time. We were close to events and family in Solon, but had a quiet, peaceful place to let down. The lake was a short walk from the property, with a convenient trail for walking, running, and enjoying nature.'

'When you walk in the door the first word is “wow”! It’s really nice, clean and cozy. It’s like being home. The refrigerator, freezer and cupboards were stocked with food, drinks and snacks! My bf and I just kept saying wow! The super sweet host did not forget about pets with treats, bowls, etc! My dog made herself at home too! We came from Wisconsin and will definitely stay there again!'

'This house was such a pleasant surprise!! We were in town for surgery of a family member and its convenience to the hospital was perfect. The space allowed us to come and go at the hospital and was great for me to get some work done in between. Comfortable beds and all the amenities of home.'

'We appreciated the spaciousness and location of the property. The kitchen is very functional and the induction cooktop is terrific. The online photos showed a kitchen table that seats 6, but actually only had 4 chairs. Otherwise there were few surprises. All in all the stay was very pleasant.'

'Love watching deer come out every evening. Minimal utensils in kitchen bought steak knives and left them for next guest. If you are physically fit at age 64 then OKAY. however, tub is very high set and NO grab bars. Did not know about Cedar Rapids water, took a trip to Wal-Mart to buy water for drinking and cooking. Other than that, loved the week we stayed centrally located for all of our adventures.'

'It was in a great location and beautiful. We were in Cedar Rapids for a gymnastics meet at Alliant Convention Center. It was a quick drive there. We would have walked if the weather was better. Great city with lots of great local restaurants and stores.'

'We wanted a place that could accommodate our family of 5 with their significant others. This Victorian beauty has so much charm! It gave us ample space to hang out as a family. We utilized the formal parlor to have a cup of coffee and visit. We enjoyed the informal family room to watch tv. Beds were super comfy in all the rooms. Check in and check out was so easy! We hope to stay here again!'

'Thanks so much for a very nice place to stay for my family, when we gathered with our extended family . We needed a few more bedrooms to sleep. Your place was very acomodating and very nicely deocorated for Christmas. The only thing is that the carpet was very soiled in the down stairs. I understand when you have a wedding party you would have a lot of tracking in on the carpet. It was a very nice quality carpet, just hopefully you clean it once in while. Thanks for a great stay.
