'This is not a place for outsiders. All of the other guests in the (tiny) bunks were poor Indian men on their way to be, say, a guest laborer somewhere (one man showed me his visa to Ghana). Anyway, it was awkward AF, so I powered through a couple nights and then moved next-door to the Afra hostel — still pretty much a local place, but MUCH better, and I even made some new good friends there. Actual showers, a few western toilets, a men's wing, a woman's wing, and a mixed dorm, no hangout space,...

'Super handig om hier te verblijven als je laat in de nacht aankomt. zeer aanbevolen. Kamers zijn alleen niet geluidsstil, kon s'nachts een baby horen huilen, maar vond het alsnog heel prettig om hier te overnachten voordat ik in Mumbai de volgende dag de weg moest vinden. '

'It was pretty funny to see how this hotel is actually a bit behind in style, but because they do an okay job in the upkeep it is kind of nice to walk back into the glamorous style of the sixties without it being out of date. Stay away from the shop though, this guy is pushing sales way too much. Rooms are clean and well equipped (for Indian standards).'

'I have been here several times and consider this no nonsense hotel as excellent value for money. They offer all a business traveller needs. They have two excellent restaurants. Something Fishy is probably one of the most diverse restaurants of Mumbai. The food is delicious.'
