'The room description (see also the photo) stated private bathroom (not in room). In reality, the bathroom turned out to be shared. The staff indicated that this was incorrectly listed by Hotels.com. However, a review from another guest shows that this is not an isolated incident but a structural issue. To make matters worse, the staff began loudly cleaning the kitchen next to my room at 6:45 a.m. If you value privacy and a good night’s sleep, I would recommend looking elsewhere.'

'Clean room, excellent staff and good breakfast. Downstairs room was great but a bit noisy early mornings and later at night with folks returning. I suspect the upstairs rooms are fine. 27 min walk to the square with parts along very busy road. '

'Als je aan komt ontpopt zich een klein paradijsje in the middle of nowhere. De kamer was schoon en bedden prima. Het personeel deed erg zijn best. Spreken alleen Spaans maar met handen, voeten en vertaalapp kom je een heel eind. Je krijgt hele grote porties eten (ook als voorgerecht) Minpuntje is de gehorigheid vd kamers en de koude douches. Als dat wordt aangepast krijgen ze van mij een dikke 8. '

'Amazing location with great helpful staff. The place felt safe and had a chill vibe. Amenities are very basic, as to be expected for the price point: Rickety small beds, small showers and toilets, etc. Great for a quick inexpensive stay.'

'Perfect for a couple nights. Quiet even on new years eve and great location which was great since we had 2 kids 3 and 6. We had a small miscommunication over amenities and they quickly fixed it. Jose that helps run the hostel is very polite and attentive! '

'Was here for a few days waiting for my airbnb. Beautiful property. Restaraunt is decent but a bit pricy. For some reason my breakfast wasn’t included when everyone else’s was. Not sure why. Room was quiet. Only issue is the location. It’s a bit of a walk to el Centro. Not sure I would do it at night. Ubers and taxis are easy though. Recommend. '

Take the opportunity to have breakfast upstairs and soak up some of the early morning sunshine while enjoying views of the volcano. Everything in Antigua is pretty much walking distance so a couple of days here is good fun.'
