'The motel was quite run down on the exterior. The interior seemed clean, unusual handprint on the wall & no hot water. My brother's family also had a room that somehow smelled mike smoke from a room below them. No staff to help with the situation amd they had an 18 month old. Many homeless around and in/out parking lot. Didnt feel super safe to be honest.'

Through no fault of the owners, the city as a whole is not a safe place to visit, particularly in the area where the property is located. We had someone clearly under the influence of some sort of substance repeatedly try to enter our room, and would not leave until police were involved. 'Oh boy...I greatly dislike writing negative reviews. While Chemainus is adorable, the location is fantastic and the exterior is a dream...this aint it. Mouldy drapes, a number of amenities were broken (electric fireplace, mouldy fridge), no wifi, questionably clean bedsheets. And (I have photos as proof) a white substance residue left on the counter next to the bed. I will say that the indoor jet tub was amazing! I swear I heard a cough below us at one point and noticed a little door that looked...
