Stay at our beautiful 1905 Charleston Victorian home in the heart of Cannonborough. Just 2 blocks from King Street, this property boasts nearly 1850 square feet of perfectly designed space. The front house offers 4 full-sized bedrooms with three king beds, one queen bed and 3.5 bathrooms.

The Space:
The 4-bedroom front unit is 1850 square feet with 4 bedrooms (3 king beds and 1 queen) and 3.5 bathrooms. The kitchen comes equipped with a full refrigerator, dishwasher and a gas range that is perfect for cooking and entertaining. Spend your days enjoying all that Charleston has to offer and your evenings relaxing on the spacious front porch equipped with a porch swing or the private back porch!

Private, off-street parking in driveway, which fits 3 cars back-to-back.

Guest Access:
Guests will have access to the front property (Unit A) and will have all of the essentials you need during your stay. There are three parking spaces available back-to-back in the paved oyster shell driveway in the rear of the building. Please let us know if you need additional parking.

Once you confirm your reservation at The Wonderer, you will receive a link to book your time to visit the Campus. Please note, all fitness classes and ticketed events are offered based on availability and may come at an additional cost. Day Passes are available with required pre-registration via a link that will be shared with you upon booking.

Day pass reservations at The Wonderer for guests of this property are completely free of charge. The Wonderer’s on-site parking lot is a paid lot, however there is free on-street parking in the area subject to availability.

Please note: availability at The Wonderer is not guaranteed without a confirmed reservation. The number of available day passes remains strictly first-come, first-serve. If you plan to enjoy The Wonderer anytime between April 15th - September 1st, we strongly suggest booking in advance to guarantee access.

The Wonderer has a minimum age requirement of 25 years old (unless you're a member, a guest of a member, or receive a special exception from club management).

This house is perfect for a family or group seeking a fun and or relaxing vacation. Popular dining spots include Xiao Bao Biscuit, Fuel, Five Loaves, R Kitchen, Estadio, Pink Cactus, and the Warehouse for drinks. The house is minutes to the very popular Upper King Street district where you will find a multitude of great shops, book stores, and fashion boutiques - as well as amazing restaurants!

Getting Around:
The driveway will comfortably fit three cars back-to-back.

Pet policy: As much as we love the four-legged members of your family, we do not allow pets at this property. Any sign of pets will incur additional fees starting at $500.

Please note that there is a noise ordinance in this neighborhood after 11pm daily, so if you are enjoying yourself please take the party inside and be considerate of the neighbors.

No smoking is allowed. Violators will be fined for in-room smoke damages. Smoking is only permitted outside of the property at least 10 feet away please.

Please note that this property does contain external security cameras at the driveway and entryways for your protection.

Extenuating Circumstances Hurricane Policy: If a Mandatory Evacuation Order is issued by the Governor during the dates of your stay specifically for the county in which the property is located, the extenuating circumstances policy will be in effect, and we will refund any deposits or payments paid by the guest. We shall have no additional liability concerning the reservation. However, if a Mandatory Evacuation Order is NOT issued, then THE STANDARD CANCELLATION POLICY WILL REMAIN IN EFFECT SHOULD THE GUEST CHOOSE TO CANCEL THEIR RESERVATION. If inclement weather in any other part of the country or world during the dates of stay prohibits or alters the guest (or any individuals in the guest's group) from traveling to the property, a refund will not be issued, and we shall have no liability with respect to the reservation. During months where there is a potential for inclement weather, such as hurricane season, we strongly recommend guests purchase travel insurance.

Online Pictures were great. House is in rough shape. One thin coat paint job throughout, a half hearted effort to cover the dinge? Black type mold in the center upstairs bedroom wall paper, exterior wall. Active spider webs. Parking was a PITA. If both units are rented it’s a coin toss if you can get out…all 3-4 spots are in a line or tandem . It’s there put requires numerous k-turns. Ceiling lights and fans didn’t work (which they knew about), two out of 4 beds had significantly bent frames that had both people roll to center, window A/C units had free communication with the outside with corresponding humidity in the interior space, utensil and pots / pan drawers had not been cleaned in a while. I personally, intentionally minimized my time there. After 10 years of many, many VRBO stays this was easily the bottom experience. We picked it on the price point and got what we paid for relative to Charleston prices. It’s obviously a corporate minimal investment/ max profit turn and burn operation with very little to any pride in product. If you got the money, look elsewhere… if you don’t lower your expectations relative to what you are paying. I am positive they will respond with “Sorry YOU were disappointed” vice owning the product. To their credit, they did address bent bed frames and ceiling fans/lights when the issues were reported…hence property mgr rating.

Overall the place was great! Communication with management team was top notch with quick action for any issues (our key code didn’t work and the dryer didn’t work but both were fixed quickly). Spacious rooms with plenty of bathrooms. The kitchen table is only for two and the living room only has a coffee table so don’t plan to have any sit down family eating time. We ate out most of the time so this was not an area of concern for us. The house overall was definitely older with some upgrades throughout the house but that seems to be how much of the area is so go into this with the mindset you will have a charming older house. Location was great…walking distance to King Street, a couple local restaurants, an ice cream shop, two bagel shops, and two different coffee shops. Uber was quick for anywhere you didn’t want to walk far. Great for our weekend getaway!

Great place and great location! Would highly recommend!The only negatives were the Wi-Fi was very poor, the ceiling fan in one of the upstairs bedrooms was broken, so ceiling fan did not work. Could not find the remote for ceiling fan for another upstairs bedroom.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this Victorian home. It is a gorgeous spot, with plenty of space for everyone. Quaint and charming - the perfect spot if you're coming with a large group. It is in a great location - we were able to walk most places we were going. Easy access to the property and great communication with host.

Our group stayed here for a friend's reunion and really enjoyed it! The house is in a great location and so convenient to see everything in downtown Charleston. We were able to walk to several nearby restaurants and bars, and we took short Ubers to the French Quarter, Liberty Sq, and Battery Park. The house is renovated, beautiful, and very well maintained. Wifi is good. Bathrooms are gorgeous and beds are amazingly comfortable!! We all want the name of the brand so we can buy them for own homes! The house is on a busy road with lots of bright street lights, so bring a sleep mask and ear plugs if you're a light sleeper. Parking is behind the house for 3 stacked cars, so keep in mind that you may have to shuffle them around a bit, but with such a narrow, busy street out front, it's definitely a perk to have off street parking. Overall, the house was a great fit for our group of 5 women, and we would definitely stay there again!

Very nice house - roomy and a Great location. We had good and accurate information about the house and were able to relax and enjoy our stay. Suggestion for owners to furnish a table and chairs for dining and to replace dryer which doesn’t work well. 2 minorComments only and wouldRecommend this house for anyone visiting the area.

The home was over a hundred years old rich with history but we never felt a lack of comfort and luxury. The beds were very comfortable and the showers were great. Plenty of space and the provided shampoo, conditioner and body wash were phenomenal. Everything is within walking distance and I highly recommend walking to The Select for dinner on your stay.

Great place for a girls trip. The comfy king beds and 3 and a half baths made getting ready for a night out in Charleston a breeze. Communication with the property manager was great! There is no formal area to eat a meal, but plenty of chairs and low round coffee table in the living room area for snacking and eating.

The house was in a great location. There were some housekeeping issues, like a used kleenex on the floor in an obvious place (so was the rug even vacuumed?), small garbage items on the floor in one bathroom that were easy to spot. The water took over 2 minutes to get warm, and then in the shower it was VERY difficult to regulate, either you were getting a cold shower or it was too hot. Dryer did not work, which caused us to have to travel with wet clothes.

The location is fantastic! It’s only a 15 minute walk to King St! The home is beautiful, and the beds are very comfortable. I highly recommend this stay. The host was very communicative and helpful!
