Guesthouse Charleston: ZUID (105. 5)

Dit prachtige, nieuw gebouwde, twee verdiepingen tellende 4 slaapkamers / 4. 5 badkamer huis is slechts een blok lopen naar Upper King Street en op loopafstand van alle beste restaurants en bars van de stad. Geen aandacht voor detail gespaard, dit huis heeft hardhouten vloeren, mooie lijstwerk en een volledig uitgeruste keuken. De ruime woonkamer heeft een grote flatscreen-tv. De slaapkamers (alle Queen bedden) hebben een flatscreen-tv. De 4 volledige badkamers zijn voorzien van douchecabines, regendouche, marmeren aanrechtblad, tegels, weelderige handdoeken en toiletartikelen van het hotel. Er is ook een wasmachine en droger voor gasten. Er is een parkeerplaats op straat. We bieden extra beddengoed en gratis kabel en WiFi.

Gratis conciërgediensten omvatten, maar zijn niet beperkt tot: aanbevelingen voor diners, reserveringen, tickets voor evenementen, professionele fotografie, verhuur van babybenodigdheden, privévisboten, havencruises, privéchef-diners, fietsverhuur, boodschappen / alcohol bezorgen en luchthavenvervoer.

Geldige foto-ID vereist bij reservering. 60 dagen annuleringsvoorwaarden. Geen restituties binnen 60 dagen na de incheckdatum. Niet roken. Twee nachten minimum. Verblijf op vrijdag- en zaterdagavond vereist wanneer het weekend betreft. Check-in is om 15:00 uur {of later}, Check-out is om 11:00 uur. Eigenaar / Property Manager is niet verantwoordelijk voor parkeerkaarten. Alle aanbetalingen, betalingen en / of betaalde bedragen worden niet terugbetaald binnen 60 dagen na uw aankomstdatum. Houd er rekening mee dat we een niet-roken eigendom zijn en dat gasten die dit schenden onder de voorwaarden van onze listing en / of korte termijn huurovereenkomst, hun CSA-verzekeringspolis ongeldig maken en daarom persoonlijk verantwoordelijk zijn voor eventuele schade.

Wonderful weekend getaway

Three friends and I spent a fabulous long weekend in Charleston. The house is fantastic for a group of friends. All four rooms are virtually identical and they each have their own bathroom and TV. Great front room for hanging out as well as a lovely porch for coffee in the morning or drinks in the evening. Very easy to walk to everything on the peninsula from the house. The hosts were very accommodating vis-à-vis early check-in and late checkout and ,responded promptly to our requests. Although there is a party venue next-door and some sort of party… Wedding?… took place on both Friday and Saturday evenings, I barely noticed any noise at all. In any event, I think the parties both stopped by 11 PM. I would definitely recommend staying here.

Overall the house was great and was perfect for our family stay for Graduation Weekend. I would definitely recommend but 2 small issues were cable TV’s did not work properly all weekend and the portable AC in the family room was loud. Outside of those 2 minor issues, it was great and would book again in the future.

Paid a LOT!

Loved: The layout with 4 bedrooms each with it’s own bathroom. Fabulous location close to lots of restaurants. Private parking place off of the street. Sofa and chairs were comfy but only room for 4-5 people. Beds comfy.Not so great: NO horizontal spaces in the bedroom & bathrooms. Sink was 4” wide with NO counter space at all. Didn’t like: Microfiber sheets! A STR of this price should have fabulous cotton sheets. I was not happy. Microfiber is cheap and feels grimey!Completely Unacceptable: 1.)There was NO water pressure in one of the bathrooms! This person had to use the hall bath sometimes and shower in another persons bathroom which was inconvenient and awkward. 2.) We couldn’t use the windows for fresh air as there were no screens on any of the windows and the outside of the windows were covered with thick webs. 3.) The wood on the front windows was badly rotted out. The wood had turned black and there was a 2” hole! 4.) The AC didn’t work, and the portable unit that was there was so loud we had to turn it off to even talk. Suggestions: Get screens on windows and wash outside windows.Get some narrow tables in bedroom & bath. (1 bedroom had this!) Fix the house AC and get rid of loud unit. Replace front windows that have rotted wood. Fix the water pressure in the back bedroom.

Adorable place

This place is super cute and the inside is renovated and feels brand new. Only downside is that one room has crumbling windowpanes so bugs can get in, and the private parking spots are not so private when drunken people start desperately searching for spots at night, but that’s not their fault. Overall the place is fantastic and a great find. Highly recommend.

Not a bad stay.

Location is really good if you want to be downtown. All the bedrooms have a bathroom. No tubs, sinks are small and literally no place for your toiletries. All the window frames are old and need to be replaced. I mention this because in the SC heat the AC works hard cooling during the day. A little warm. The AC in the front is a split unit and was displaying an FO error the entire stay. As a result, only was as good as a fan. Property managers were very responsive. Text is the best way to reach them but we were there for a week and they were unable to correct the problem. Parking is a little tight, you get two spots for a midsize car or SUV. Overall, not a bad stay especially if you are out and about all day and just need a place to sleep and relax a little at night.

Charleston Experience

The house was well-located, within walking distance of the shuttle though Charleston is a great walking town and you can definitely walk all the way to the Battery if you're in shape. The house was well-provisioned with plates, glassware, basic cooking pots and pans, flatware and knives. Beautiful wood floors, comfortable beds, good water pressure and roomy showers. The bathroom sinks were inexplicably tiny, but that's the only problem. We did not know that the place was next door to an event venue with amplified music and revelry, but everything closed down by 11 pm, so no late night partying. AC cranked up good - from West Coast we're not used to humid heat outside, then frigid blasts inside, but I guess you can figure out how to turn it down. Bars, coffee houses, restaurants, take-out all within a block. We walked around during the day and night, no worries. If you prefer a house to a hotel, this is a well-maintained, well-located option. We would stay here again.

Charleston weekend

Very accurate website description & comments about the property. Super convenient location to walk to king/market street. House was well maintained & check-in process was easy. We had one small issue upon arrival at the house but management offered a solution and we had no other problems after. It was difficult to do anything in the bathroom involving the sinks (washing face, brushing teeth) due to the strangely tiny sink & not having any counter space or drawers was a little challenging. Would be helpful if floating shelves were installed to help with no counter space. A nightstand or dresser in the closet would be a nice addition too. We would definitely rent from this company again, but would likely choose a location with better storage. Overall, satisfied/4 ⭐️.

Sibling Getaway

Four siblings and spouses got together in Charleston for a couple of days. The house was lovely and well appointed. We would definitely stay there again. There are lots of small local spots to eat, have coffee, or shop nearby, but you may not notice them if you don’t get out and walk around the block.

Lovely Guest House

Great location, very clean, lovely home! Pros: walkability to King St, great restaurants nearby! Loved Bistronomy about 3 blocks away, one of our favorite meals. Bourbon and Bubbles, so close and great nightcaps. Halls Chophouse was great, as was Leon’s Oyster bar, all easy walking distance. Cons: very small bathroom sinks and no toaster, which is an extremely minor inconvenience.

Charleston Stay

We loved the property and its location was as advertised. We tried to get in touch with the property manager but our call was NEVER returned. I’m not sure what we would have done had it been an emergency. The biggest problem with the property is lack of storage in the bedrooms. There are no shelves or dressers in which to put clothing. That meant using the closet to hang things one might not ordinarily hang. That was fine EXCEPT there were not enough hangers. We had to buy our own. We still had to use our suitcases for our clothing. The bathrooms had the tiniest sinks ever which made the vanity really tiny. Very little storage space there. The linens, bed and towels, were not luxurious. The comforters on the beds were not consistent. One comforter was so thick that it was impossible to sleep under while the sheet was so thin, it offered no warmth. Blankets in the unit would help tremendously. There is a wedding venue located next to the property. We didn’t have any issues with noise but we were not there on a weekend. We enjoyed our time at this property and feel with the addition of shelves and dressers, updated linens, blankets and coat hangers that it would be almost perfect!

A few recommendations. Change the color of the house from yellow house to Blue on the Arrival & Check-In details. Put a 4th chair at the counter. TINY sinks were very inconvenient but will definitely recommend staying!

Nice place

We enjoyed our stay. Our daughter got married next door at Cannon Green so the property was extremely convenient and met all our needs. It was nice that each bedroom had a bath (very small). The front porch was great since folks stopped by during the week. Overall it was a nice place and we would stay there again without hesitation.
