Absolutely fabulous stay - best hotel in Charleston!! The 2nd floor rooftop pool deck is the fanciest - nothing like it! Would book it just for that!! Couldn’t recommend enough!

I loved staying at this hotel. The rooms were comfortable and clean. The area was quiet and walkable to cute restaurants and shopping. The outdoor area was wonderful at night and the pool was great. I would certainly stay there again.

A bit disappointed for the price. Over 500 a night during our stay. Common areas are beautiful but rooms average and daily maid service was poor. Did not replenish soap or clean up dirty coffee cups. Decor was what you might see in a holiday inn. Most likely will try another property. Charleston is fabulous though.

Property was in a great location, walkable to many galleries, restaurants and attractions. Room was adequate, clean towels and good size. We had one day of very heavy rain and the hotel ran out of umbrellas.

You are paying for convenience at the Mills House. You are right in the middle of Historic Charleston; all the big museums and parks are within a ten-minute walk. I drove from another metro and could just valet my car and ignore it for the weekend.

Centrally located, within 15-20 minute walk of major attractions. Many dining options nearby. Staff extremely friendly. Rooms renovated within past 2 years or so. Room very spacious. Plenty of electric outlets and USB slots. Nice couch to sit and read in room. Bathroom door does not lock and has gap (barn door-type). Water pressure in shower very weak. Valet kept closing out electronic claim check every day, despite multiple complaints to keep it open for the entire stay, so waited several times to have car brought. Would stay at this hotel again, all things considered.

The Mills House is a beautiful hotel (particularly the lobby and outdoor spaces) and super walkable/ conveniently located in scenic Charleston. Unfortunately, it was one of the loudest hotels I’ve stayed in. While there wasn’t much sound from outside, every sound in the hall and neighboring rooms was extremely loud. You could hear every word of every conversation all night long. Additionally, the bed wasn’t great. Our stay was ok, based on convenience and location but I wouldn’t stay here again because it wasn’t quiet or relaxing in any way.

The staff was very welcoming and helped with any questions we had. We loved the outdoor area with the fireplace, adjoining Iron Rose Bar and the acoustic singers. The bartenders were super friendly, room was cleaned and stocked everyday. The only downfall is I wish the valet parking was less expensive for the hotel guests.
