'The stay was wonderful. The house is exactly as described with plenty of amenities. The lake was calm and nice, fish right off the dock! The yard and dock were amazing, swing set and fire pit a bonus! I'd recommend bringing water shoes as the bottom of the lake is rocky, and a sleep mask because the house has a beautiful east view that can wake you up. Earplugs if you're a light sleeper and for those in the bedrooms by the road which was pretty busy with loud truck traffic. I wouldn't hesitate...

'Great place to stay! Easy check in and out. The place was clean and had everything you could need. The location was excellent. Only a 10 minute walk into town and it was such a nice town to explore. We went to the farmers market on Saturday morning and it was only 2 blocks away on the water. Also, only a short drive to Boyne Mountain, Petoskey, and Charlevoix. '

'Cottage is a short drive into Charlevoix. The drive was a little longer with it being venetian festival and all the traffic. That being said, it was great to be out a little ways and on lovely lake susan. Beds were comfortable, coffee, waters and toiletries were all provided which was super nice. We enjoyed our stay!'

'We've been coming to the Torch Lake area for 30 years with my family. This year was our first time staying at Thayer Lake and we were very pleased with our experience. Still super close to Torch and Thayer Lake Retreats offered a lot of things for our family to do. Our grandkids loved going to the beach and swimming out to the large raft, kayaking, fishing, and the hot tub! Host was easy to contact regarding access to home. Very clean and nicely decorated.'
