'Check in staff was not pleasant and we had to wait almost half an hour longer than we were told for our room to be ready. Check in is at 4pm and we didnt get our room until 430. Room had a beautiful view and was pretty clean. Blackouts did not effect the power as they have an onsite generator. Our refrigerator worked most of the time and AC was amazing. The shower had a vroken handle that maintenance was unable to fix. Not a big deal really.
It was not close to any beaches, but close...

'The room was very clean and had great amenities. The staff were incredibly friendly. The space is beautiful and charming. Bartender and Restaurant staff were exceptional and the food was amazing. My only piece of feedback would be to add some lounge chairs near the pool. But next time I come back to St Thomas there is no doubt I’m staying at Hotel 1829! '

'We loved everything about our stay - just wished we had stayed longer. The beachfront room was perfect for our family and the view was amazing. The beach was perfect for the kids to swim and snorkel and we even got to meet some friendly sting rays right off the shore! The restaurant had good food options - all of which were yummy. We will definitely be returning :)'
