'A clean place! I didn't see any yucky corners or forgotten surfaces. I was pleasantly surprised by this beautiful hotel, which also contains the Optical Museum. WOW! I love how the historical features have been preserved, and importantly the Danbury marble fireplace which is a feature of the museum. BIG DISAPPOINTMENT: after a long day of travel I wanted to hit the hot tub after dinner, but it closed at 9:00pm. 'The room was clean and comfortable. The pool and hot tub were well maintained and enjoyable. Staff were very friendly and helpful. We would definitely stay here again!'

'Room was so cold I had to get a space heater even after complaining about it and given extra blankets. They only allow two bath towels per room so I had to buy bath towels from Target. Sink was slow to drain. The tub and shower both ran at the same time. No microwave or fridge in room. Most of the staff was okay except the young girl at the front desk who was extremely unprofessional and rude. Inexpensive hotel, but not worth the money you're saving. '
