'A beautiful Chateau with beautiful rooms overlooking the vineyard. The people are very friendly and helpful. Enjoyed an informative tour with wine tasting, highly recommended even if you are not staying here. Breakfast is fresh and delicious. Furthermore, as a guest you can use the facilities in the kitchen and living room all day long or enjoy it outside on the terrace by the vineyard. Discovering the area by bike is great fun. 'Nice and quiet chateau next to the river Dordogne. They make their own biological (demeter) wine varieties. Room was very spacious in a great old house. Superb bathroom. Simple but tasty diner options. Great atmosphere. In the immediate vicinity there is not much to do, except for a nice private garden at 3,5 km. Within easy reach from the A10. '

'Truly phenomenal. Had a surprise complementary wine tasting and they also supplied dinner, which consistent of very high quality meats, cheeses, bread and some of the best tomatoes I've ever had. All complemented by the wines of their own vineyard. There were 2 other couples there and we all had dinner at the same table (this is optional of course but we all shared the tasting and thought it would be fun to share dinner) and it was very fun. Stayed up late having wine together. No downsides....

'Goed ingericht en schoon huis in een stille wijk en dicht bij grote supermarkt. In Libourne is het busvervoer gratis. Bij de receptie hebben ze de vertrektijden. Ook kregen we bij aankomst veel informatie over de streek. Prima bedden. Personeel erg behulpzaam en aardig. Een plek om terug te komen.'

'We arrived at Domaine du Chauvet after a long drive from Spain. Mr Jabali was the perfect host: he was very welcoming and he prepared us an excellent meal at a time to suit us. The building is beautiful with a decor of stone, wood and white linen. Parking is safe and secure behind electric gates. Our bedroom was small but very comfortable. Next morning we had the best breakfast ever - pastries ,bread, fruit , cereal, coffee, tea, juice. We would definitely stay here again!'

'Christophe and Christine the property managers were very friendly and helpful in suggesting restaurants and chateaus to visit. The breakfasts each morning were incredible: fresh baked croissants and bread, fresh squeezed orange juice, eggs made to preference. The location nestled in among the vineyards was picturesque and very quiet. The total experience far exceeded our expectations and I hope we can make a return trip.'
