Deze unieke woning uit 1884 ligt op de meest gewilde locatie in St. Elmo wordt omringd door een hectare aan prachtig aangelegd terrein. Geniet van de frisse lucht van Lookout Mountain vanaf de serene baars van de overdekte, omhulde houten veranda van het huis of nip van uw ochtendkoffie in de meer privétuinpatio. Onlangs bijgewerkt met nieuw decor en meubilair. Ervaar een echte Chattanooga-charmeur.

Sissons House, gunstig gelegen in de historische wijk St. Elmo ligt op loopafstand van talloze restaurants en cafés, evenals de vele activiteiten op Lookout Mountain, waaronder het historische Point Park, de slagvelden van de burgeroorlog en schilderachtige wandelpaden. Het centrum van Chattanooga, met het Tennessee Aquarium, Chattanooga Choo Choo, Bluff View Art District, Warehouse Row, Chattanooga Riverwalk en meer, ligt op slechts 10 minuten rijden. We have stayed here several times and will continue to do so. It is such a beautiful and comfortable home. The owners are so thoughtful in how well they have stocked everything (from toiletries to cleaning supplies). The beds and pillows are incredible comfortable! We extended our stay because I haven’t slept that well in years! We were so depressed to leave. It’s a fantastic location, beautiful grounds and just an overall perfect stay.

Visiting Family @ Lookout Mountain

Oh my goodness where do we begin to say how perfect the weekend was! The host was extremely accommodating and the location was AWESOME! It was spotless plus the supplies in the home will be beyond what I have ever seen in a VRBO! The outside area was fantastic and we enjoyed building a fire sitting in laughing with the grandchildren! This house is so beautiful. The owners have updated it yet kept the historical character. We met friends there for a few days in Chattanooga. We are from Indy and our friends from Atlanta. Tired Mamas Get Away

We absolutely LOVED this place. The house, the location, EVERYTHING. We spent our mornings in the kitchen nook chatting and sipping coffee. Our late afternoon gathering spot was outside by the fire. Late night chats were had in the parlor. We called for a ride into town and walked and ate until we could stand no more. We also enjoyed the short walk into town for a cup of coffee and a stretch of the legs. A definite re-do for us will be in the books.

Yet another perfect stay!

This was our second time in this lovely home, and there is no doubt that it will become a mainstay in our vacations. The house is exactly as pictured - meticulously clean with obvious loving attention to detail everywhere you look. We had the added bonus of enjoying the picturesque holiday decorations that made it so warm and cozy that we didn’t even want to leave the house most of the time! We went to a park and playground during our visit, but my toddler had more fun running around the expansive property and climbing up the tree deck. Just as the first time we stayed there, the owner was extremely communicative and went above and beyond. She offered us an early check-in, especially knowing I’m traveling with a little one, so that was much appreciated. We ended up having a car emergency towards the end of our stay, and so we extended a night and she made it an effortless process. I have stayed at a few other VRBOs during our various trips in different cities, but this is the only home where I have total peace of mind that I’m getting exactly what I booked - in aesthetics, cleanliness and hospitality. We’ll be back soon and as often as possible!

Delightful historic home

We had a wonderful 5 day getaway in Chattanooga with our three children, staying at the St. Elmo farmhouse. The property exceeded expectations--it matches the pictures and was comfortable and more convenient than we imagined for our planned adventures. We ate s'mores around the fire in the firepit and hiked Lookout Mountain to Ruby Falls.

A true getaway!

The home is just as described in the listing. It was immaculate and SO much care and thought and love has been poured into every detail, from the furniture to the toiletries and everything in between. It’s an excellent location near everything you could possibly want to do in the city but with surroundings that make you feel like you’re in a retreat. The property is BEAUTIFUL! You are close to a fairly busy street but the front yard is so spacious that you aren’t bothered by it at all. The historic house itself is absolutely perfect. Everything makes sense - the layout, the decor, etc. Plan to take a ton of photos; I captured so many memories on my phone of my toddler running barefoot around the property, gleefully sorting through the thoughtful toy chest they provide in the bunk bed room, and cozying up in their very comfortable beds. The only problem is that you may not want to leave the comfort and beauty of this home to actually do any activities in the city! My family has some special needs and the owner was very attentive and accommodating. We are already trying to decide on fall/winter dates for our return. This will be the only place we ever stay in Chattanooga, without a doubt. We truly can’t wait to return!

St. Elmo Perfection

If you're visiting Chattanooga- this is the place to stay. Everything was wonderful about the property and location. Upon walking in we were amazed at how the home is both historical and updated in all the right ways. The home is well stocked and very welcoming. My daughter was so excited to have a lush room with a private bath and chandler over the bed. Speaking of beds..... they are so comfortable. It gets chilly in the house (the a/c is very powerful which is essential for southern summers), but there are so many cozy blankets to cuddle up with- a very nice touch. The outside seating is inviting and a great place to watch the chipmunks, squirrels and birds in the morning and lightning bugs at night. Very easy to get to/from the interstate and downtown (with many great restaurants and things to do- we loved the Ghost Tour and Coker museum) The Lookout Mountain attractions are so close (you can walk to the Incline Railway; Ruby Falls and Rock City are a short 5-10 minute drive). There are a number of restaurants, a lovely wine store, drug store and grocery store within walking distance. I cannot think of a thing that I would change about the property- it is perfect. We were sad to leave and will certainly plan to come back.

Fun, comfortable and beautiful historic home!

We loved the St. Elmo Farmhouse! The kids loved the outside areas and the triple bunks, the adults appreciated the history and the care and detail of restoring the home to its current state.
