Perfect voor familiebijeenkomsten. Geniet van een resort-stijl verblijf in dit charmante, maar toch ruim 2.000 vierkante voet grote huis met twee verdiepingen in het hart van de trendy en bewandelbare wijk North Chattanooga. Met alle voorzieningen van het huis wil je misschien niet meer weg, maar als je Frazier Ave doet, zijn coffeeshops / restaurants en de Walnut Street-loopbrug 8 stadsblokken verwijderd.

Cottage Cottage is gebouwd in 1920 en heeft zijn oorspronkelijke charme behouden, maar heeft onlangs een grote renovatie ondergaan met een grote bijgewerkte keuken. Een recent gebouwd enorm dek met een grote gashaard ligt hoog boven de straat en biedt een aangenaam uitzicht op de omliggende heuvelachtige en unieke buurt.

Nadat u bent teruggelopen van het diner op Frazier Avenue, kunnen u en uw gezin achterover leunen in een Adirondack-stoel en genieten van wijn, waarbij u zich opwarmt bij de gashaard. Als u allemaal de voorkeur geeft aan de warme gloed en het geknetter van een houtvuur, is er een tweede vuurplaats op de bakstenen patio beneden. Trek u terug in de jacuzzi om die gewrichten te ontspannen na een lange dag sightseeing. Sluit de avond af met uw gezin, verzameld rond de gashaard in de woonkamer, om een film te kijken op een 55 inch 4K-tv met groot scherm. Kies uit duizenden titels van youtubetv, plex, netflix en amazon prime-allemaal voor jou beschikbaar. Slaap comfortabel in een van de vier slaapkamers, allen met queensize bedden en een extra slaapbank in de serre (huis voor 9 personen). Een slaapkamer boven heeft een 70 inch 4K-tv als je de film die de familie beneden koos niet leuk vond. Word de volgende ochtend laat wakker om te genieten van koffie in de goed verlichte, gezellige serre.

Good Location

Property was clean and spacious. The weekend we were there we noticed a few things that the owner could have addressed. There was water standing the basement which made the property smell of mold on the inside. The front sitting room with tile we had fleas just on us and bite us. Owner should have had someone do a quick check and clean of the sidewalks and back decking. Tree debris everywhere.

Home-warmingly Heroic

There are few joys in this world that I treasure more than the experience of an outdoor Hot Tub in the snow. For that, we couldn't have picked a better weekend. One afternoon, it was so invitingly-relaxing, I was almost late for the show, the entire reason that we were in town, The Floating Men (only their 2nd show after almost 15 years without a performance). I was also impressed by the scenery, many native plants surrounding the property as well as hardscape additions, all of which provided a magnificent backdrop for myriad birds moving through the neighborhood. It's amazing how a metro area as big as Chattaboogie can still feel like the middle of nowhere.As it was near freezing for much of the weekend, I did spend a little time inside, too. A local came to visit, remembering the house pre-remodel, as she was as impressed as we were, with all of the updates. The additions were well done, in a way that conveyed both an appreciation of the history of the structure as well as the need for safety improvements. Due to weather, and such, half of my crew didn't make the trip, but the spacious home was enjoyed none-the-less. The only difficultly was deciding which bedrooms to choose, since we few had a huge space all to ourselves.The heroism came afterwards. When we departed, we accidentally forgot a bag at the house, a pretty significant one, with all of our medications. The owner was kind enough to immediately retrieve and coordinated to help get it returned, quickly.

Poor communication

We rented the property for 1 night. Traveled with an infant and arrived 20 min early. Was able to enter the home but only to find that the property had not been cleaned yet from the prior renters. Called the contact and was told that because their animal had passed away and they were in the midddle of cremation, to leave and come back in a couple of hours and that housekeeping would call and let us know when it was ready. Never received a call to inform the rental was ready, but when we return it had been slightly cleaned. Gatorade bottles and wrappers and food in sink remained. Tried to make contact even after we left the next day but still no response. There was not any discount offered for our inconvenience either.

CONVENIENT!

Great communication. Property is big enough if you need blow upbeds, etc for extra guest. kitchen is large enough for everyone to pitch in. Didn't use hot tub as it was raining our whole stay. On the corner so you can use both sides to park. Just minutes from everything downtown.

Very disappointed in the shower upstairs didn’t drain right. The toilet downstairs rocks and very tiny!! The couch springs would pop out and was very uncomfortable!! Plus front door lock didn’t always line up right to lock. Basement door wouldn’t stay closed even with lock. Had to put a chair in front.

Almost Perfect

It was not great that the thermostat had been turned completely off when we checked in after dark. The house was so cold! Luckily our plan was to leave immediately for dinner, so we found the house closer to being tolerable when we returned several hours later. Otherwise, a home run! great neighborhood, charming house, nice amenities.

Homey historical house with modern updates

We loved the Colville Cottage! The vintage vibe was great, but also had modern amenities: updated modern kitchen and big dining table (we did a lot of cooking), two HVAC units so folks on different floors could be comfortable. And two bedrooms on the main level for our folks who don’t do stairs. All the beds were really comfortable. We loved hanging out around the gas firepit, too. Host was responsive to pre-stay questions and requests, and we had no issues while we were there. It’s was a great value and we’d stay here again.

Weekend stay for annual Chattajack paddling race.

Denny’s house suited us perfectly for our needs. We were 3 couples who took part of the annual Chattack padding race on the Tennessee River. Our focus was comfort, working kitchen and comfortable sitting areas for the group. We loved the hot tub which was used repeatedly. Your house was quite charming! Totally enjoyed our stay.

Do not book - host is not organized

We arrived after a long drive and day of site seeing and easily found the home and entered. However, it was not cleaned - all the beds were dirty and nothing had been cleaned from the guests before us. I messaged the host who took an hour to get back to us. The host (Denny) told us this was “all his fault” and that “he thought we were coming tomorrow “. I had actually been in touch with him a few days prior to remind him and make sure the hot tub was working. He ended up ghosting us and not responding to our texts or emails after that. Thank goodness we took lots of photos and had screenshots of our conversation so we were able to get a refund thru VRBO. However, that doesn’t make up for the undo stress not the scrambling to find new accommodations for 7 people at 7:00 PM. This host is not organized- just avoid it & go with a super host.

Cute cottage style house

My family and I enjoyed our stay at this home. The beds were comfortable in all four bedrooms and the two upstairs bedrooms were spacious. The bathrooms were a little tight for space. We really enjoyed the unique character of the home, the outdoor patio fire pit and hot tub. The location was great & close to downtown Chattanooga.

Sister reunion

Loved the historical house, beautifully remodelled and open and light. We had some plumbing problems which the owner tried to fix, but really needed a plumber's expertise so that was never fully resolved. The hot tub was great- but the cover is literally falling to pieces- so that needs replacing. But for your value it was lovely and comfortable- i recommend it.

Great home for family get togethers!

This home features two bright and airy living room areas. We loved having two conversation areas since kids could be playing a game in one while adults visited in the other. They can be open or closed. The kitchen opens to a big dining area and is well equipped for big family meals. We needed a few more chairs so we used our foldable ones to seat everyone in our big group Big laundry machines are in the very old basement. It was easy to walk to a terrific ice cream shop and the splash pad. Everyone enjoyed the hot tub and fire pit. We had 9 people in our group and would gladly stay at this historical home again. The owner quickly responded as needed.
