'Our stay at the Qing Suites was so wonderful, we could not have asked for a better experience. The history of the building, as well as the Blue Mansion, is fascinating, and adds to the magic of the place. The room was superb - clean and comfortable, with a lovely private courtyard. The main courtyard, where a delicious breakfast was served, is stunning. The staff deserve a special mention - attentive, kind, and always cheerful, and made our stay extra special.'

'Friendly and helpful staff made my stay a very pleasant one. But the glass partition for thr bathroom made the room lighted when 1 person is using the bathroom and another person is trying to sleep.'

'The room was very clean and great facilities. The staff was very kindly! '

'Zeer netjes en heel vriendelijk personeel. Goede voorzieningen en leuke omgeving. Historische panden en goede restaurants. Ook restaurant hotel is uitstekend. Zeer aangenaam verblijf in Penang.'

'absolute aanrader!

'I cannot recommend this hotel enough. The property is beautiful, but it’s the staff and service that truly set this place apart. Throughout my stay, all the staff were incredibly attentive, helped me find my way around the best local spots, and had the most positive and helpful attitude all round. The location was also perfectly placed in Georgetown, close to all the tourist spots whilst not being on a busy or noisy road. Breakfast was included and, much like the heritage of Penang itself, I was...

'Very friendly hotel staff - highly recommended for a stay in Penang !'

'Our stay at Cheong Fatt Tze - The Blue Mansion was one of the highlights of our time in George Town. This extraordinary heritage property is far more than a hotel; it is a living piece of history. The beautifully restored mansion, with its iconic indigo-blue façade, offers a unique glimpse into Penang’s rich multicultural past and the remarkable legacy of Cheong Fatt Tze, often referred to as the “Rockefeller of the East.”'

'Aardige mensen, hotel ietwat gedateerd.

'Nice location in the center of Georgetown. Lot of points of interest on walking distance from the hotel. Old town, Love lane, Jetty’s. This boutique hotel is a nice ancient chinese style house, with just 8 or 9 rooms. Areas for improvement are the beds / mattresses. Really rock solid and prevents a good sleep. And also the breakfast was pretty limited choices; toast, jam, 4 or 5 hot options and also exactly the same for 3 days. Note you’re in the city and this old house lacks good isolation,...

'Nice hotel, rooms with a historical view. The rain shower and safe were not working, the pillow sheets had some (old?) stains (from the previous guest?). The room was noisy because of the woorden structures (you could hear new guests arriving), the AC-unit was noisy. The bathroom/toilet doors were very nice wooden self-opening doors, however at closing your partner would wake up from the noise (and probably the neighbors). I did like the friendly service and location, safe and close to...
