Well Cottage heeft alle charme voor een rustige en ontspannen vakantie met moderne gemakken, waaronder WiFi. Dit Cotswold stenen vrijstaande huisje is goed geproportioneerd met ruime slaapkamers en is prachtig gelegen weg van de zaken van de High Street op slechts 50 meter van de rivier de Windrush en een korte 2 minuten lopen naar het dorpscentrum. Het is liefdevol gerestaureerd met zijn originele balkenplafonds overal en grote openhaard met een houtkachel. De Cottage Garden ligt rondom een originele bron en biedt vele soorten bloemen van Iris in mei, lavendel, kruiden en veel rozenstruiken. Er is een eigen parkeerplaats voor 1 auto met op een grote brede opening oprit en een parkeerplaats voor een tweede auto dicht bij het pand. De lounge is prachtig ingericht met zorgvuldig gekozen eenmalige meubels en een luxe comfortabele Engelse bank. Alle illustraties zijn gekozen om te pronken met een deel van het lokale Cotswold-talent. De bovenverdieping is voorzien van vloerbedekking en heeft beddengoed van hoge kwaliteit. en Engelse handdoeken. We absolutely loved our stay at this beautiful cottage in Burton on the Water! It's beautifully located in a quiet area of the village, but very close to the centre with all the shops and restaurants. A perfect spot to explore the Cotswolds, with beautiful walks, but also a really nice cottage to sit back and relax, catch up on reading and sleeping after busy times. Dawn was very kind and made sure everything was perfect. We hope to be able to come back!

We spent a relaxing 2 weeks in this gorgeous period cottage. Dawn and Bette were excellent hosts and have attended to every need. Comfortable bedding, quiet and very cosy surroundings. Although only a couple of minutes from the main street it is very private and quiet. We made an excellent choice, we would recommend it to anyone looking for a base in the Cotswolds.

10/10. What a fantastic place inside and out. Absolutely spotless, comfortable, you couldn't ask for better hosts. Friendly neighbours and a great ice-cream guy at the end of the street. Watch for many tourists taking photos, you are a historical cottage after all. Thanks for everything Bette and Dawn.

Well Cottage was a wonderful experience start to finish. The host was excellent- wonderful communication- especially appreciated written instructions upon arrival and lovely cream tea!Very charming, cozy cottage. Dawn does not miss a single detail in making this cottage more than special. To mention a few key items that made our stay perfect: the linens (!), very comfortable beds, high end equipped kitchen, comfortable furniture to relax on after long hikes in the beautiful countryside, sweet outdoor sitting area - and Dawn as our host! Home was built in 1600’s and thoughtfully preserved with all the modern touches that made our stay very comfortable. The cottage is less than 2 blocks from town and has its own parking space. Town gets busy but what a quiet oasis to come home to! Dawn, thank you for sharing this rare gem!

This charming cottage, built in the 16th century, is nestled in the heart of the village. Within a stone’s throw, you’ll find a bakery, a pharmacy, and a supermarket. For a more extensive grocery selection, there’s a larger COOP just a 10-minute walk away. Additionally, there are several walking paths nearby, eliminating the need to drive. Well cottage is delightful and has the benefit of off-street parking - very important in Bourton. It is in a perfect location, being very close to the centre of the village but in a quiet road.The property was spotlessly clean, well-equipped and as such had everything I needed for a relaxing break.The owner is very hands on and nothing was too much trouble. I enjoyed the fruit, cheese and biscuits that were provided!I would definitely recommend this property.

Very cute place to stay. There were several issues that came with staying in an older place but we dealt with it since our stay was short. The location was absolutely perfect! The hosts were fantastic. One thing I would like to say is that the ceiling is very low so if you are tall, you will have to crouch while walking around. But since we spent most of our time out sightseeing, it wasn't a big deal. We loved how charming this place was. Also a big plus was having a parking space right in front of the property. There is a small grocery store withing short walking distance where we got some essentials like water and breakfast items. There are also some wonderful restaurants right around the corner. My family loved it and my husband still talks about this cottage to friends.

Well Cottage was the perfect place to spend our time in the Cotswolds. Bette has thought of everything to make this a home away from home. Felt as though we had gone way back in time as far as atmosphere but with all the modern conveniences at hand now. Noticed we preferred to stay in many evenings rather than going out just to imagine living there as actual people had done so long ago. Loved the river flowing with the ducks just a block away. The most beautiful place that my husband and I have ever had the pleasure of staying. Two minute walk to town. So convenient. Comfy beds with luxurious linens and fluffy towels. Everything that you could possibly need in this quaint cottage. The pictures do not do it justice. And very responsive and sweet hosts. It was such a delight to find scones with clotted cream and chutney, with a darling handwritten card on the dining table. If you are lucky enough to find this available, don’t hesitate. Book it!

We really enjoyed our stay at Well Cottage. The quaint little house is perfectly equipped with everything you need for a relaxing holiday. The location is ideal in the centre of the village, but at the same time completely quiet. Dawn, together with her mother, quickly takes care of all the guests' concerns and emergencies. This is a fantastic property in a picturesque, story book town in the Cotswolds. A two minute walk from the town center, the cottage is framed by a stunning rose and lavender garden accentuated by a Jacobean well. The property has as much charm inside as it does out. The large stone fireplace immediately drew our eyes and marked a great conversation area with a comfortable couch and wing chairs. A large table in the back of the room served as "mission control" as we determined our daily activities. The kitchen is well equipped and functional. Loved the Keurig-style espresso/latte maker. The bedrooms upstairs were extremely comfortable with beautiful picturesque windows that not only let in the morning light, but also the sounds of Bourton on the Water — and its stillness at night. Natural light abounded with each window -- upstairs and down -- framing a scenic postcard image of the cabin's surroundings. Our host couldn’t have been more responsive. She returned email messages within five minutes during the planning phase, and when we had a little difficulty with the WiFi (read user error), she was in 10 minutes to help resolve the problem. Most important, she was kind and welcoming and offered a number of sightseeing and dining tips (on the dining front, don't miss Vinitzia, an Italian restaurant in town -- it was sensational). Well Cottage is a perfect place to explore all the Cotswolds have to offer. I am already planning my next, lengthier stay.
